Repeatable pxp mission?
-
@capardo_XBL I understand the frustration. It feels like Showdown needs difficulty settings.
I feel like anyone whos at least a 500 player should be able to beat every showdown (except degrom) on their first try. But, I could be wrong.
Def not true and again what’s the harm in adding a pxp mission?

Showdowns are much more chill now that you get mulligans (not really the right word but you know what I mean). Before there was always one mission where every good/perfect swing was a bust no matter how many boosts you had enabled. This would happen until about 2-3 outs to go. Now even if you fail the mission you just have to make it up in the last boss. Diamond Quest "sometimes" does the same thing when you get to the final stadium battle.

@rubicante23_PSN i loathe showdown, but some of the new ones they dropped, especially the mad max and sonny gray ones were pretty easy even for someone who sucks at the game. Will try the hrd one.

Although this has become about showdowns this thread is really about repeatable PXP missions! Some online players were complaining about doing conquest and repeatable PXP would solve the problem for those mostly online players. The point is that they are limiting ways to finish programs, and repeatable PXP missions would solve that problem for everyone.

They did it in multiplayer program which has been awesome like I said earlier no reason why it can’t be in offline too

We have one mission that’s repeatable for 5k for 9 innings pitched…
-
@Apolloz_99_MLBTS that requires like 18 event games to get. Or 5 full ranked games lol. For one 5 pack spin.
-
i dont like when they force you to play certain modes like DQ or showdown when they preach play your way and then make you not be able to. That said i did the showdown for HR derby last night and completed it I was down to my last 2 outs on the first one where you need 18 runs. I think I beat the 2nd boss with 8 outs to spare ( after several out of this world defensive plays by the CPU )

I'm reading these, completely forgetting that I did the Showdown not long after it was released this morning, and didn't know it was required! Whew. Good to see Ramone is still around, though.

And now this is a thing of the past

while you dont get pxp in the showdown, so i have to finish buxton before i grind showdowns, the new one with 80mph fastballs non stop is nice. Do the 0-250 final boss and grind xp. for the 0-17, in less than 5 minutes, i got 1500xp. Now do that during a double xp weekend and youre gonna get a TON of wheel spins

I hate this showdown, I can't hit Ramone and when I do square up a ball it doesn't seem to matter

One would think that after all the heavy lifting Ramone has done with the storylines he'd be stronger and could throw a little harder, 80mph is brutal after facing outlier pitchers.

I hear ya. Whenever i would be early amd blow outs, I kept telling myself that 'he throws slower, just like HRD. Stay back.'
