@rubicante23_PSN I mean your entire post is a massive contradiction. You do realize that right?

@DrBear100_PSN thats why I play online. Offline isnt much better as far as gameplay. Another reason why I believe the offline only players make excuses not to go online.

I get that! I like online play but it's the toxic [censored], the obscene team names, emblems that turns me away. If it wasn't so prevalent I'd play it more often.

@DrBear100_PSN the online play in this game is atrocious and an embarrassment to onlinegaming. I never understood how the clowns on here defend how poor and such a lousy piece of garbage online is for the Show. It’s 2026 and you’re still playing on peer to peer connection with sloppy net code and RNG slapped on top. So much skill is negated by those two factors.

@VioletNine9_XBL this issue has been brought up a lot in many different posts - as I've said there, I dont have any issue with just taking walks against cpu.

And, I wish cpu were actually made to emulate human play - cpu play right now (hitting and pitching) is really dumb, and not really designed for any kind of challenge.

Everyone but me just seems to want cpu to be a punching bag that lets you quickly grind stats - I'd love cpu to be challenging in a real human kind of way

@rubicante23_PSN yeah I think that’s lame and you can play on a higher difficulty if you want to do that for us that just wanna zone out and be potatoes and destroy the computer It should be an option.

@VioletNine9_XBL id be okay with rookie and veteran being that way...but even on hof and legend, the cpu does not play like a good human. Its harder, but it would take me like fifteen seconds to figure out its a cpu...nothing it does is realistic.

Where's the AI? You should be able to ask cpu to play like an 850 player, and get a good representation of that.

Yeah, they get 2 strikes on me with dotted fringe edge strikes and then forget where the strike zone is for three pitches and then come back with another dotted fringe edge strike.

Plus they do this when they are silver/bronze with barely any red or completely exhausted. Yeah the pitching AI is absolutely stupid, complete overreaction to the year a few years ago where Rookie would throw just about every pitch middle just above center.

I don't mind challenging but instead it's just time wasting with very little reward. I don't even play much Conquest anymore because every game is 1 run/ 3 - 4 hits borefests.

It's weird how this game is so different for everyone.

Some people claim the CPU dots every pitch, I rarely get dotted. Maybe a batter here and there, and even then they'll get at least one very hittable pitch in at-bat.

Some people get walked multiples times per game vs CPU. I rarely even take one walk unless I'm just intentionally trying to take one (e.g. refusing to swing at 2-0/3-0 even if it's a meatball).

Some people have menu lag. I've had basically zero menu lag for weeks (I did have some timing out issues when on player cards and parallel mods).

Some people have no online lag. In this event I can't even react to Andrew Morris throwing it down the middle (I've come to learn that MLB stadiums are just super choppy for me).

Some people have app issues. I don't.

Some people have no fielding issues in online games. Even if my players have 99 fielding, they always act like they're struck by landmines late in close games.

I believe it was Thursday night when a lot of people were saying they couldn't even access the DD menu for hours. During that time I was on it and playing games.

... It's weird how the experiences are different.

@xRatedGProdigyx_PSN Well yeah if you play a 9 inning game against the CPU you will get plenty of pitches to hit, I average around 5 HRs in mini-season games. There seems to be some sort of weird balancing system with the 3 inning games, score once and you won't see any more hitable pitches usually. Yeah if I work the count, foul off all the dotted pitches, I might get another one to hit, maybe score 3 instead of 1. I just hate that it's coded this way. I pretty much only play 9 innings mini-seasons now...Conquest is a boring slog now, DQ and Showdowns are rage-inducing, online is well, a bunch of "Ditka"s. I miss MtO, and Conquest being fun, but SDS (and the Online community) seem to want to drive the offliners away so...have fun guys next season.

I dont wanna be the "git gud" tough guy, but if you're regularly putting up one run against cpu on any mode other than legend....you just have to blame yourself and commit to learning how to hit.

All these complaints go away after you graduate from hitting university.
