A serious gameplay issue that has been affecting competitive play for years, and it needs to be addressed: the tempo animation exploit.

Right now, the batter’s stride/leg‑kick animation changes BEFORE the pitch is released, depending on whether the pitch is a fastball or an offspeed pitch. This means hitters can identify pitch type early without reading the ball out of the hand. That is not skill — that is an animation tell.

This is a game-breaking problem because:

    • Fastballs trigger a noticeably faster load animation
    • Offspeed pitches trigger a slower load animation
    • The hitter receives information the pitcher cannot control
    • It creates an unfair advantage in competitive modes
    • It rewards animation-reading instead of actual pitch recognition

This is not “realism” and it’s not “timing skill.”
It’s an unintended visual exploit caused by inconsistent animations.

You can look up videos on how to use tempo hitting. I don't see this is actaul glitch/cheating. Since really big leg steps are a part of MLB hitters swing types. And the people who are good with tempo use these hitters. I don't do it but just because I find it hard to focus both on the leg kick and the hand of the pitcher.

It is realism there are many players Jaren Durren being a player who this year switched to a big leg kick swing. And it doesn't give you any more information then being good at watching the hand. You can see an obvious hump up on breaking pitches, while fast balls don't. I've tried tempo but have a hard time reading the leg and had. Also reading animations is a huge part of the game in general. Knowing if the outfielder got a bad animation can be the difference between some guys getting a double or being able to tag up. Which is real life as well. But the biggest thing is, this game in no way has realistically realism in it lol. In real life 90% of MLB games have a combined foul balls total of around 50 not 90 lol. Diving plays are usually missed not a ball that warps 4 feet to the glove and throw out the fastest runners. If you want to complain about unfair actaully broken things how about pitchers who's pitch can completely break the hitting mechanics or simply warps out of their hand lol.
