I used to play a lot of ranked. Haven't this year. Went to play online and I get a prompt saying I need to by the monthly game pass to play multiplayer. What the [censored] is what that [censored]? When did this start? This is totally [censored].

It's been like that since 2017 when they started game pass, or, if you want to go back even further, 2002 when Microsoft first launched Xbox Live. MLB the Show on Xbox has pretty much always had paid online.
