College baseball deserves a larger role in MLB The Show.
College baseball has exploded in popularity over the last few years. Attendance is growing, the College World Series continues to draw huge audiences, and many fans follow their college teams just as closely as they follow MLB teams.
With the success of college sports games, especially College Football, I think there is a huge opportunity for MLB The Show to expand the college experience beyond the current Road to the Show introduction.
Imagine:
• Full NCAA Division I conferences and schedules
• Regionals, Super Regionals, and the College World Series
• Recruiting and transfer portal systems
• Real college stadiums and traditions
• Metal bat sounds and authentic college atmosphere
• The ability to play an entire college career before entering the MLB Draft
• Dynasty or franchise-style college baseball modes
College baseball offers a unique style of play and atmosphere that is different from professional baseball. It would give players another path to experience the sport and would help grow both MLB The Show and college baseball.
As a longtime baseball fan, I would love to see San Diego Studio continue investing in college baseball and eventually make a full NCAA baseball experience a reality.
