Lagging like crazy

What in the heck is going on with the severe lagging in something as simple as off-line gameplay. I strictly play off-line franchise mode and the lagging in the gameplay is almost making it unplayable. It especially happens late in the games and when runners get on base. Swing timing and pitching with the lag make it nearly impossible. I truly am a loss of how this can happen in a game made in the year 2026.

I have noticed this, too. I thought it was me/my system.

I have regular PS5 which 100% should not be the issue with offline gameplay lagging in the year 2026
especially with a video game that hasn’t don’t graphic updates for a decade -
I have a launch PS5, played over 100 games in my franchise, every inning, every pitch and have had no lagging problems.

Same issue, on PS.. I also develop games for a living, I been playing the show since it existed. This is one of the worst ones I have seen with these issues. UI also locks up, missing buttons, matching making does not work. for 2v2 and others. its pretty bad...
These companies reuse assets, and they hire low wage inexperience developers who DO not know how to optimize ... They also reply heavily to test, when they actual test with AI, which is also using dated unoptimized code bases. This is a huge problem with AAA companies and will only get worse..
Glad i'm near retirement these companies just do not care.. Anyone who has any experience knows this is a problem that has got worse .. sadly. The show was an amazing game.... Sad to see what it has become.
Previous versions where much better they had problems but NOT like this....
