My favorite is the uniform isn’t a Red Sox, but has a silver sparkly sheen to it that is distracting.
Yes, an unnecessarily difficult moment.
And, already several “git gud” responses. Those are my favorites.

Got it done on about the 30th attempt after double digit 2 hit fails. I just hate when moments aren’t more historically accurate and reasonable. 3 hit moments are rough no matter what but against Clemens and Chapman dotting up it was tough.

I know "git gud" responses get people upset...but its a moment for petes sake. You can restart it after first hit fails...so yeah...

Took me 45 minutes....the rest of them 15 min combined. Moments are garbage because they rely on luck more than anything else and are a big time suck if your game play time is limited. Nothing worse than having 2 hits with one at bat left and getting walked.....

For me, it’s not so much the moment…..
But with all the “issues” (using that term very lightly ) so far this year with the game, you’d think SDS would say, 3 hits…Ok. 4 at bats…ok. 97 Roger Clemens….nah, let’s give ‘em the 82/83 version instead.

Because they knew this Moment would foil a lot of us, idk.
Took me about an hour.
The only positive is all the tries get you more reps vs. Clemens. Still tough to guage that Splitter, though.
All the retries got me about 3K XP. Almost as much as a Conquest map. -
Yeah, I'm having a pain in the rear time with it too. 3 hits is one thing, but against a 97 and then back to back lefties out of the bullpen stinks.

Does anyone know if you hit quit- restart does that void your XP earned during that try? I know it's minimal for outside, but I need all the XP I can get so I haven't done that so far

I'm terrible at this game (never even made it past pennant race on ranked, can't beat the cpu on anything harder than all star) and I knocked the moment out in about 20 minutes. On most of my failed attempts I got 2 hits. It really wasn't that hard.

I got it …”took me 20 minutes, 45, an hour”…or I ”got it on my 20th, 30th attempt”.
A MOMENT ON VETERAN SHOULD TAKE 1-5 TRIES!!!
If it takes longer than that, it’s nerfed or (in this case) a troll by SDS.
As an aside, I just listened to “The Business Review”. He calls us casuals, “lifers” (meaning we have a life outside the game). He also says SDS is definitely sticking it to the “lifers” this year with the investing nerfs, the “glitch” and the bad content. Very interesting observation.

Trying to do this moment now and it's not going well, I definitely like last year's Cornerstone program where they didn't force you to do all the moments

I often struggle with moments like this, but i got it second go.
This cornerstone program was the easiest for me.
The Salvy one gave me fits. -
Theres a million problems with this game, this isn't one of them. I think it took me maybe 3 times to finish this moment. Just wait for good pitches.

Yeah, there's so much bugginess and glitchiness and jank with this game...this ain't one of them. If this moment foils you that badly, then I dont know how you play other stuff.

2-2 then hit a perfect-perfect top dot fly out. Not even to the warning track! Felt like throwing my controller thru the wall. Fourth AB: gapper to LC saved some drywall.
I hate their slot machine “moments.” Always have. It’s ridiculous that the Marketplace feels like the most rewarding part of this game.

This moment is complete bs. Astros Clemens card pitching for the Red Sox against Yankees O’Neill which never happened. Plus 3 hits with all the RNG in moments. This was contrived [censored] just to make the moment way more challenging than it needed to be.
I could overlook all of this if you could complete the player program while skipping this moment but, you can’t. Requires everything be done. Although, way down the list of issues in this game this is yet another attention to detail misstep that drives me crazy.
Feel like a good chunk of people producing this game have zero understanding of baseball or it’s history.
It's not that hard 1st time.
