Still no fix for WBC Mini Seasons?
-
@NotesOfJohn_PSN yet you know all about me huh? You couldn’t even differentiate what hyperbole was.

@NotesOfJohn_PSN SDS will absolutely not fix this. They will not bring back the grind 7 games for 10 packs and 1 BIAH pack. This whole thing has been kind of a help for them because they had been trying to come up with a way to kill the quickest pack farm without blowback. They think this is that situation. SDS are absolutely trash and should be embarrassed with the state of their game (menus, freezes etc...)

I’m actually not sure this was/is the quickest way to get rewards. Is it the easiest? Absolutely. But the repeatable rewards for the other miniseasons actually provide more “per-game-played” rewards than the WBC. Not to mention the total value of the rewards is generally better. I made a whole spreadsheet mapping this out a few weeks ago.
Also, the other miniseasons allow custom stadiums. Although, those WBC pitchers are baaaaaaad.
Ultimately, I had moved on from WBC miniseasons before this glitch thing happened because the rewards and values were better.
NOT an excuse for them not to fix this though.

@jdhalfrack_psn is there any particular mini seasons you would pick for grinding?
-
Vintage is the one I grind now. Have a couple pre-2006 guys on your roster and I like to use the three vintage bullpen guys as my relievers.
Citiecapes was good too, but you really needed to use a cityscape-centric lineup to maximize it.
When I’m back in town next week I can load up that spreadsheet again and show the comparisons.

@JDHalfrack_PSN You're not wrong. I haven't done the math though. I know there is one mini season that gives you a 3 or 5 pack BIAH bundle for 100 Ks (repeatable once per but numbers carry over). That one may be better even though you still end up having to play nearly twice as many games to complete the MS. I might start grinding that one once I have finished all the Stat missions (outside of all time HRs) for each team. Right now I am grinding the Cityscapes Conquest just for something different and it allows me to be Road Team every game.

I think it’s once per season, right? For I think three packs. I don’t recall the amount of packs.

The Miniseason's are just a huge frustration and SDS simply is ignoring the problem. Last year we had 3 miniseasons your could play and not face off against teams that were all loaded with 90+ players. SDS needs to fix the WBC miniseason. Of course, they probably won't. Here's a crazy idea: create a long-haul miniseason where you take a division slot from an actual mlb team, where you play the schedule of a team with your DD squad to get rewards. Add in monthly XP rewards so it's actually worth a player's time. Instead of giving rewards for games won, make them for games played. Or simply just fix the one Mini-Season that you can play in 90 minutes without destroying your controller.

We did?

Yes The moonshot, The one where you had to pick Gold and Silver players. and the late one rewind or whatever it was called
-
@JDHalfrack_PSN yeah - the Rebuild Year mini season where you couldn’t use any diamonds, the Moonshot mini season, where you faced only lefty hitters, switch hitters, Moonshot Series righty hitters, and common, bronze and silver right-handed pitchers; and the Run It Back mini season, which let you use whoever you wanted and limited the other teams to LS commons and bronzes.
@victoryphoenix_psn thanks for helping me remember so I could expand on your point
-
@On_a_Power_Trip_PSN what were the rewards? I don’t remember these. Weird. I feel that the rewards for this years miniseasons have been the best in a long time. I could very easily be misremembering.
-
@JDHalfrack_PSN I don’t remember that part, unfortunately, except that the Moonshot and Rebuild Year mini seasons had championship players you had to finish the full 34-plus-game season to earn (Moonshot Series Tony Gwynn and Standout Series Kris Bryant)
-
The rewards were amazing, especially on the Run It Back miniseason
