Need advice on having games be more competitive, any help?

If I change pitching to dynamic would it start on “beginner” or start on “legend” where I had it?
-
@browning954_PSN ooh that I’m not sure of
-
Dynamic is the way to go. I do believe that it starts on the level you are currently on when you change it.
Even if it doesn't, you will level up very quickly from rookie.

Do I just put pitching on dynamic or hitting as well? I feel fine on legend hitting for now. Goat is absolutely too hard for me.

@browning954_PSN Honestly, I can't hit my way out of a wet paper bag. I have my hitting on rookie or something like that. It's just pitching I use the dynamic.

First adjust your sliders. Make the fastball pitches faster and lower the off-speed speed, you will be amazed how the picture will fool you on off-speed pitches.
Second, lower your contact zone.
Third, lower your power and contact. If you are still winning at an 82%, you are a remake of Tony Gywnn. LOL!On the CPU side of pitching. lower the consistency. They will fool you a lot more with outside the hitting zone a lot more.
You can adjust the sliders to where even at lower levels it will be hard and sometimes very hard to hit. -
What if I just set pitching difficulty to goat? Will that make any competitive difference?

Manage mode. Default sliders.

What is manage mode?

What is manage mode?
In franchise there is an option to play game or manage game.

I would set it to Hall of Fame at the top end or set it on All-star then adjust the sliders. I have found setting the sliders to be the key to getting what "you" want from the game to be realistic for you.
I have sliders set all over the place. Stealig set at 0 to stop everyone from swiping a base. I have the players (fielders)speed down a notch or two but to compensate I have added to their reactions. I believe this gives you a truer indication of their fielding abilities.
You can get this game to react to where you can really see a difference than the set game sliders with everything at what I call 50%.
Does it seem at times it gets quirky on plays, yes, but that is what intrigues me about it. Everything is not same old same old.
I won a game against the Cubs when their rightfielder dropped a line drive with the winning runner on third base and it was two out. Those type games will happen when you adjust the sliders.
I think this game has a lot more hidden gems that most people either overlook or they are only concerned about what shoes or bats they have. Plays in the game are my 100% concern.
I have errors being made about 2 per game now, where I would not see one in many games in a row. Heck, my SS, has 11 errors right now but then again, it is a rookie named Konner Griffin.
