How did NMS players complete the live collection?

That, plus spamming DQ requires you to bunt cheese on goat difficulty which most people including myself simply can not do repeatedly with any success.
Regardless, it’s a miserable way to play the game and shouldn’t be necessary if every other method of making stubs wasn’t tanked this year. Coupled with the bots farming mini seasons and manipulating the market which has inflated prices and destroyed margins.

Would the packs in mini seasons be better if cheaters weren't farming it 100k times? Not sure but it is worth a mention. Maybe if they aren't farming so many packs illegally my pulls would have been better and I wouldn't be having this discussion.
Anyone heard anything on the cheating or does SDS think it is going to go away with scare tactics? FYI - those don't work.

No idea but I can confirm my pack luck has been awful. I’ve never been terribly lucky with packs in 7 years of DD but this year has been the worst. Skenes is my only decent live series pull and that was back in March. Since then I’ve only pulled low diamonds 85/86 and doing that repeatedly tends to ruin my desire to play this game. I’ve been lacking the same 12 diamonds for 2 months.

I'll never understand letting the difficulty of completing the live series have such a big affect on enjoying the game or not. It's not even close to necessary to complete to have a good team unless you have visions of competing at the very top levels and even then it's not exactly necessary.

@Pergo_MLBTS a lot of people are in this for the collecting aspect, because, well, DD is as much a card collecting mode as it is a straight game/gameplay mode. It’s why the collections are considered content.

Bingo it’s a season long goal for a lot of us. I was able to collect every card for 21-25. Then use the best versions for theme team builds and just play.

Having it as a season long goal makes total sense. But letting it ruin the game for you if you don't have it done in May does not make sense.

Here's the deal. Whether you're doing the LS collections or not everything is predicated on a RIDICULOUS (talking 6+ hours as I have about 3+ per day on average) amount of grinding and extreme pack luck. Every collection is the same. We'll give you 3-5 cards of the collection then you need pack luck (with rare pulls) or buy the remaining cards. I do not have a problem grinding or buying cards but I do have a problem with 15 of the 20 needing pulled by being lucky or paying for those cards in a game that stubs are hard to come by.
Sure if I pull Ohtani twice it's great. 99.9999% don't pull him once and there you see the problem. It isn't only the LS collection you can't get it is every collection every week or two. I have played a lot (ton less the last 3 weeks) and still around 850k from LS and probably 8 vouchers from 99 Miggy. Not close to Murals or Cityscapes either. Still 110 out of 142 on WBC.
It is a ridiculously unrewarding game. It will catch up to them.

@DemIsE4_XBL How would you fix it? Not being sarcastic just honestly asking. There is no requirement of you to complete every collection or program. In the sense you might not be able to obtain a card but you don’t have to complete it if you don’t want to.

Good question. Don't get that statement wrong. I don't mind working for cards but don't want them impossible either. I'll start with LS. No LS card should be worth 750k. For the other collections you need to start by providing more cards in the programs. Doing everything you can and getting 3 cards from a 30 card collection is asinine with 10 of those cards being rare or chase for instance.
I'll use WBC as a prime example. 142 cards needed for Garcia. I think I have around 110. WBC was out to begin the game. There is zero reason there shouldn't be at least 5 packs minimum somewhere along programs or xp path. Also have a rare WBC pack later in the xp path for instance. This should be done for all collections. Elite, heavy (really heavy) grinders and people that spend money/stubs will get these cards early. I don't have an issue with that at all. If they would have had some packs throughout the 2nd xp path people would feel like they are actually getting rewarded and progressing. Instead I'm pretty sure the xp path has some spots where 50k xp gets you 1 standard pack. Really?
The next xp path after the collection is released should have packs during the xp path including packs for rare rounds. Similar to rewind packs.

100%. I’ve said all along let the whales and elite players get cards earlier but make them possible for the rest of us by including more cards on programs and less in packs.
SDS will still make their money but running off the majority of their player base by trying to squeeze them for every penny and giving out very little reward, including XP, stubs and cards for their time is not the way to go.
This doesn’t even include the terrible packs where odds should be at least 5-10x better than they actually are.

@DemIsE4_XBL they are the two largest collections. Ofc they will take the most time. I agree there should be a cap on those two live series cards but it should still take time to do that one as well. There really is not a reason for someone to be rolling out 3 99s within the first month. They should have made wbc its own collection rather than add it as a voucher for Cabrera. That way it’s still a collection buts it not required for Cabrera.

I’m not like these others who flip cards like this is the stock market. I don’t care enough about DD to try. I’m not buying another MLBTS until I complete another live series so this game is basically my final game. My suggestion of you care that much is buy stubs.

@DemIsE4_XBL mlb the the bronze packs lmao. Im at like 210 packs without a diamond player now. They keep giving me diamond uniforms or bats. Total trash these packs are. Im wondering if the diamond uniforms are part of the 1 out of 50 odds now. If they are, oh man odds are way worse than we imagined.

I believe they are. That’s another way they manipulate the odds. Any diamond counts towards the 1:50 as far as I know.
I’ve also gone about a thousand packs without a live series diamond above an 85 and even those have been scarce.
