Who's on your bench?
-
Two left handed bats, two right handed bats, one with speed
Usually look for players with the pinch hitter quirk to platoon if needed
-
Online play my whole lineup is switch hitters. Offline play its set to what I need for missions, it changes game to game. Online play I do not care one bit about the 95 Miggy or those other collections. Its strictly switch hitters just to utterly [censored] off my opponent. It takes away all pitching strategy. It doesn't work out for me with winning cause I have zero patience and swing at everything hahaha.
-
Yeah, but platooning is pointless when all the best hitters are switch hitters.
Like, when is Troy Glaus or Duke Snider ever gonna be useful? Its the same guys every year who play.
-
I always have Cityscapes Realmuto on my bench just because it's a backup catcher with some speed
-
Chone Figgins, Rap Dixon, Juan Brito and another player I can’t remember.
I try to have speedsters that are also utility players.
-
Chone, Biz Mackey, Max Clark, and Mural Vladdy (I don’t play on HoF - at least not yet - and Ryan Howard mashes righties for me but obviously have to have the pinch-hit option)
-
I have 3 WBC guys in my bench: PCA (he’s P4 almost literally by pinching running and stealing 2nd and 3rd), Caballero (?) (who plays every position except catcher), and the Australian player who plays every infield position (Sam “something or other”). They all have 80+ speed and 99 stealing.
Finally, I have Cityscape Willie McGee ( who plays all OF positions) and is 99 speed and 99 steal. He absolutely rakes for me. And holds my team record of 8 steals in one game!Yes, I play a TON of small ball!! Single, steal 2nd and 3rd, sac fly.

@capardo_XBL Antonacci was on Team Italy

-
@on_a_power_trip_psn yes! That’s him. Ha ha ha.
-
I use a lineup of 3 righties, 3 lefties, and 3 switches in ranked. I stop using guys I p5 for the most part. Using the same cards over and over is just boring to me. Bench I usually have a mix to cover infield and outfield for late in the games. I hit fine with righty righty and lefty lefty. People just get obsessed with switch only and don’t realize their [censored] average with them on certain sides.

Same with JT.
I also have the mighty Rap Dixon, Bibby Wott, who i'm batting a robust 6 for 24, and always have a fast outfielder. Essential for Conquest games. -
Carlos Cortes if I need to PH for vlad, Soto if I need to PH for tatis or trout, mcgee and Witt for speed
-
Witt Jackie McGee and Elly.
-
So, honestly, I only play offline, so I can dictate my opposing pitchers more. I actually like batting left-handed, so my lineup is seven left hand and two switch hitters. Thus, my bench is:
Jackie Robinson
Chone Figgins
Johnny Bench
Jesus MadeI have every position covered at least twice (except Catcher), and it includes speed and right handers plus a couple switch hitters. Works very well for my game play. For only being pinched hitters, three of them are parallel III already and one of them is parallel IV. Most of my starting lineup is parallel V.
I run a pretty boring team, but I’m having fun with it!
-
@rubicante23_psn actually, who's on first.
-
Biz Mackey with fielding mod
Pca with fielding mod
Polanco to kind've platoon at first (was using seager at first, now rice at first)
I think my 4th is live series jram bc for lhp pinch hit depending on his inside edgePolanco has a really high clutch, like 115 or so and pinch hit quirk

Exactly!
