Pitch Com Calling

Does anyone know how the pitch com works and the pitches called throughout the game? Is it based off your pitchers usage of pitches or maybe the pitching coach?
I’m guessing it’s not anything in depth knowing Franchise Mode. I swear they just want me to throw 90% fastballs and just get nuked by the offense

The catcher will absolutely call a bunch of fastballs when you start, if it's your best pitch.
You're going to have to go off script and start throwing some secondary stuff. Once you have success with those, then the they will start calling more of those. They will also start calling the locations you're having success with, as well.
