So as I’ve said before I have a barebones set up on this game. play on a tv normal remote nothing hardwired and I have been on a losing skid lately not good going into weekend classic. But I just took a top 50 player on the leaderboard into the 12th inning and was 2 inches away from walking it off twice. He was messaging me snarky comments the whole game like “u can’t hit” and “ur bad” and “dude I can’t see the ball” but I think it’s just because I had him scared. I am rated 863 and he was somewhere in the 1500s don’t wanna give his exact number away but honestly I’m just proud of myself that I managed to compete with that. Boosts my confidence big time going into weekend classic.

So many really good players seem like immature jerks. Just remind yourself that theyre probably 17 years old, and dont have a lot else going on in their life, lol

@rubicante23_PSN I’m 21 waiting to get called back to work at a construction company. have a girlfriend a loving family and everything I want in life I’m doing just fine. Just because I’m good at a game doesn’t make me a 17 year old low life who doesn’t have to worry about anything but occasionally going to school. Idk if u where talking about me having nothing going on or the guy I was playing but im a pretty straight forward legit guy who has everything I want to be happy in life.
Edit: misread ur response I thought u were calling me out my apologies for the misunderstanding. But yeah this guy seemed like a let’s just say few words I can think of but they would just get censored anyway. I said gg after the game as to where he responded and I quote “ nah game played like garbage I should have had way more perfect perfects then u ur trash I should have mercied u”. I just hit him with the bro I would be embarrassed if I was in the 1500s having to sweat against 900 rated players too just saying this guys ego is way to big for his skill.

I turn off messages unless from friends and try to only send positive messages to people I meet. I do it for my own mental health.

@theBlindRhino_PSN yeah I have it turned off but I messaged him and said wow ur rly high ranked and jokingly said im probably about to get it handed to me as I’ve never played anybody like that before but to that he goes “ yeah u are should have friendly quit twin”. And after that first message it means he can message me but as the game went on and on and stayed tied he got nasty then when we went to extras he’s was probably so scared of his massive ego getting hurt he actually shut up. Which is a dub for me that I shut him up until after the game then he ripped me and the gameplay apart for saying gg and just refused to say it back. He also said gg in the 7th or 8th I can’t remember before I tied the game. But yeah this was literally the most typical “high ranked sweat” ever but he rly wasn’t even that good like me a guy who has only even made 930 takes him to 12 innings and was inches away from winning twice literally a figgins foul ball 2.4 inches from the foul pole and a tulo double off the wall that hit the very top of the fence. Safe to say this guy should chill out a bit he’s not all that for a big talker.

Lots of internet tough guys and man children that attach their egos to this game. Along with choppy gameplay due to bad servers this kind of toxicity is the main reason most of us online players have no interest in playing online.
Sounds like you played a perfect example of just that. Glad to hear you pushed him to the limit and were the bigger man for not letting his talk get to you.

I dont think winning or losing should be that important to any of us in this game right now. Besides weekend classic. With how buggy the game is, the cheating, especially the rng..etc. Id rather focus on my batting averages. Only way I can tell if im getting better. Why would this buggy broken mess of a game make anyone upset anymore if we lose. And to answer your above statement, no bro real adults with responsibility are going to have a hard time competing against kids and college kids, or adults with no lives. You can place them all in the same category.
