Here are MLBs Players of the Month

AL Player of the Month: Yordan Alvarez, Astros (88)
NL Player of the Month: Ildemaro Vargas, D-backs (73)
AL Pitcher of the Month: José Soriano, Angels (72)
NL Pitcher of the Month: Shohei Ohtani, Dodgers (92)
AL Rookie of the Month: Kevin McGonigle, Tigers (90)
NL Rookie of the Month: Sal Stewart, Reds (91)
AL Reliever of the Month: Louis Varland, Blue Jays (70)
NL Reliever of the Month: Mason Miller, Padres (89)The number in parenthesis is their current best card.
I would think that anyone with a 90 or better card is questionable to show up in the drop. McGonigle and Stewart already have a spotlight for this month.
I think Vargas, Soriano and Varland are almost locks (or should be)
-
Most sense would be Vargas or Soriano personally would like Alvarez but much more guy who this maybe there only shot at a meta card.
-
A Yordan Lightning would go so hard
-
I could see Yordan getting it. it would be enough of a step up from his Live series (depending on how much they may plan to upgrade him) to hold Astros fans over until they give him a 99 late in the year.
I still have a feeling that Jordan Walker who was ignored during the weekly spotlights cooled off enough at the end of the month that he may get ignored in the monthly. He's a 67 overall with 54 contact and 56 power and is hitting .307 with 10 HRs, 27 RBIs and even 6 SB. It will take them a long time to upgrade him from a 67
-
I hope its yordan, but at the same time I dont think they card would be any better than his LS because his LS is always playing way up with inside edge and most people have him p5.
-
Yordan’s live series is also likely getting an upgrade Friday.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN this is why I think they stay away from him.
-
Do u guys think the guys that come out tmro that u will need to get the retro lighting card will be stupidly expensive or should 100k be enough for the 3 of them ?
-
@Onix_Savage22_PSN I think it will be Vargas and Soriano too. 1 will get the lightning and the other will be the program reward.
-
I agree with @GoozeFn
Yordan may be upgraded to a 90 this week, so give the lightening to Vargas who isn’t in line to get more at this point. Yordan will definitely be up for more cards.
I think Soriano gets the last program card.
-
@Onix_Savage22_PSN depends on who it is cause they’ll all technically be gatekeepers for a few days - 100k should be enough but I wouldn’t consider it a guarantee
-
My starting rotation could definitely use a really good Soriano
-
@On_a_Power_Trip_PSN yeah I’m gonna try flipping to get some more stubs tonight but it looks like margins are closing in anticipation for it.
-
I hope its yordan, but at the same time I dont think they card would be any better than his LS because his LS is always playing way up with inside edge and most people have him p5.
Weird you mentioned this as I saw someome, on FB, post that the LS Aroldis Chapman, is actually better attributes wise than his new Cityscapes card.
-
@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN it’s an apples-to-oranges comparison for Chapman cause that’s including Inside Edge boosts which won’t always be there + parallel boosts and stuff. Also I haven’t faced him but I’d guess the control difference matters a whole lot.
-
@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN how???
-
Mason Miller should get the first ever 100 card with 125 everything and a special edition green emerald icon.
-
@MarioMendoza935_XBL saving that one for the day they get Barry’s rights.

-
As much as I want it to be Yordan; I dont think it will be him.
A 92 Yordan could make his LS drop in price, unless it stays high because its a potential Gatekeeper, and while that would benefit me; it wont benefit their (SDS) pockets.
I'm thinking Rice or that switch-hitter that has been Supercharged.
-
@Dolenz_PSN I agree. I think Walker is gonna get the shaft!
