Bought digital on PS5 - I cannot advance beyond character creation in RTTS. Every time I try to click “start your career”, the game soft locks.

I have tried loading default rosters. I have tried not customizing at all. I have tried deleting and reinstalling. Does anyone have a fix? RTTS is literally the only reason I play this game.
