I thought the market bot posts were wrong
-
But there are 100% bots in the market. Its always 2 orders at one stub above your bid. And if you put your order so high that the flip no longer profits the bot stops.
So craig biggio. I sat here for 20 minutes trying to buy this card it was selling for 77k buy now. I put an order a 66k immidialty 2 orders 1 stub higher. This happened over and over until I finally put in a order for 70k so the 10% tax wouldnt allow for a profit and the bot backed off.
I dont think its sds, i dont give them that much credit. I think its these stub selling sites. I think they have flipping bots running 24/7 so they have accounts to sell the stubs from.

Not long after we were talking about this in another thread the app and online marketplace went down earlier today and is still down

@go4stros25_PSN DUDE THE SAME THING, I bought Biggio today and it happened!!!!!!!
-
@PAinPA_PSN hopefully they fix it.
-
@go4stros25_PSN told you lol
-
I pulled Shibe Stadium which was dupe. It was roughly 5k when I 1st posted it with a decent spread. I spent a hour trying to sell it and if it was a bot or person they were taking losses over 10k. Next you know i sell it at 3k and instantly stub transfers happened at 5k with sell and buy orders going through. The past couple of years have been so bad with 3rd party companies reselling stubs and thats what's truly ruined the marketplace with limits and all.
-
That's it right there I think, 20 card max wasn't for the NMS or the investors I think it was to try and slow down the stub sellers.
For as much as I love the companion app, I really think the solution is to disable it and just have the market through consoles until they can come up with something.
They are probably virtually untraceable on the app and most likely have hundreds or thousands of backups in case they do get found, consoles won't eliminate it but might make it easier to remove them ...... -
I've been saying this for the last 2 years, it's always 2 stubs ahead and it's on everything including equipment and sponsorships.
I do love the app but if it helps rid us of this problem then i'm all for shutting it down.
-
Yep, the brown nosers will continue to act like they don't exist, but we all know bots are rampant in the market.
-
Not sure what y'all are talking about.
I just flipped around 20 orders of 10 cards each and did it all in less than an hour.

It does seem better now, hopefully this holds. I would applaud SDS if they can actually fix this
-
it's definitely a problem.
-
I've also come across this. It is unfortunate for sure. Bots, cheaters. It's a stupid video game. I don't get why people do this.
-
Ok, right now I see 89 orders for 35012 and 85 for 35011 for the same card. Hard to believe that five different people put buy orders for that exact amount and another five different people for the other amount. That’s the kind of thing we used to see before the limit of 20. But how can that be now? Are stub selling sites with multiple accounts using the same exact amount on the same card? And a competitor doing the same thing trying to undersell them?
Another card has 122 orders for 15002. Very, very fishy.
-
@PAinPA_PSN yeah but they will never get rid of the app, its not enough to just sell you a game and microtransactions, they want to sell as mich of your data and info as possible.
Also having their product on our phones is the ultimate engagement.
-
@go4stros25_PSN Yep, the bots are so obvious, and you are correct, it's always 2 bids and one stub above. And if you outbid the bot, those 2 bids are instantly back to 1 stub above your bid. SDS needs to resolve this, as I am at the point where i am dumping Diamond Dynasty, and just playing the non game as a service modes. And if that's the case, no point in buying next year's version, as I can just keep playing this version of the game for years to come for baseball game itch.

@go4stros25_PSN
Your are correct, the bots are in any game that has in-game currency, and in this case Stubs. This is not just a MLB the Show problem, it has engulfed the entire gaming industry. Bot farms are present and evident. Unfortunately if a fix were to be implemented, they would be bypassed within a few days and find ways around the fix. Either live with the bots or SDS finds a way to market and sell cards without an auction altogether, hard to see the path forward without bots. -
@samguenther1987_PSN Bait.
-
Still happening can't even make my bid last 10 seconds without being outbid.. bid is 1 stubs over(which is common i know).. bit its always 2 orders then when I delete mine and resubmit a higher bid.. again outbid instantly with 2 orders ... anyone else notice this or I am losing my mind and over thinking it
-
You thought Sarah Conner was crazy but Skynet is alive, aware, and gunning for your cards.
