Nothing to do.

What are yall doing sds? How can i be just completely out of stuff to do in a live service game thats only a month into its life cycle? This is by far the worst mlb the show ive ever played. Yall got rid of the event program, why? The BR program, why? Only 1 team affinity, why?
Team affinity was always the glue that held the game together during times of low content. If this was a normal year we would all be grinding team affinty 2nd drop right now but we arent. Yall got rid of 70% of the content and for what? Its not like yall added anything in ranked, it's the exact same except with more cheaters, foul balls, bloop hits and rng.
The last few years city connect was a program or a conquest, this year... you just throw them all in the shop for free?!
Did sony cut all the devs or the support to make up for the concord disaster?

It is odd that we have just been conditioned to playing mind-numbing mini seasons on repeat due to a lack of content and stub making methods.
I am usually a big fan of mini seasons, but as one who doesn't enjoy the toxicity of Weekend Classic, we're basically getting an hour or two of program stuff and then have to wait an entire week for more to do.
It's wild.
-
Conquest extreme would go along way right now
-
@DeleteyourTTVBTW_MLBTS Hopefully the extreme program comes earlier this year.
-
@DeleteyourTTVBTW_MLBTS well yeah, that's the thing - I prefer offline stuff, but it needs to have some challenge, as well. You have to go online for any interesting challenge - it shouldn't have to be that way
-
Perfect opportunity for me to say for the 50th time. And agree, yes! Why did you remove ranked, battle royale and event programs?? Fire the decision maker on this. Im not much of an offline player. Even i can see the lack of stuff to do offline as well besides play mini seasons.
-
to their credit they did a good job w/ the content during release until maybe a week or two ago. Now it's barren.
-
@Ditka06_MLBTS I do miss when all br cards where available thru a program it was like a race to a goldmine the day those programs dropped.. probably why they stopped to much coins to be made. Now we don’t even get br cards
-
@Onix_Savage22_PSN I think you hit the nail on the head.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN It won't. Ever since 2023, they have kept pushing it back further and further in the game cycle. It makes zero sense.
-
SDS is getting lazier than EA Sports. Only dropping content 1 day a week is diabolical. Also, any time they do drop any midweek content it can be completed in like 30 minutes. It is shambolic how bad it has been since the release. How many programs were out then? 6? We have only gotten 3 since. Sad, sad.
-
@grimmdogg23_PSN I wouldn’t mind once a week if it was enough to carry us through the week, but it’s not even close. Worst year ever for content.
-
I've played DD since the very beginning of its existence and still do to this day but since its inception it has sucked like Ann Landers. Its a nice diversion in small doses don't get me wrong but the meat and potatos is a 162 game grind in Franchise Mode while also playing your organizations every AAA and AA affiliate game. Playing 3000 innings in franchise is plenty to do.
-
@Graeves-_PSN this sounds aweful

. This may just be my opinion but whenever I play franchise I’m always hands off just control the team and sim I can’t imagine playing 162 let alone AA and AAA games do u dedicate ur whole year to that one season?? -

BR, topps, henchmen, etc all used to be sellable. Topps and henchmen were great at you could easily make 800-1200 stubs per flip with some actual volume even up to a couple weeks after they dropped.
BR cards were great for investment.
SDS really has taken so much from this game while giving us a [censored] product in return.
So happy this is going to be my last year as I just can't keep giving money to a company that puts out a subpar product while charging a premium for it.

@Onix_Savage22_PSN it also encouraged people to play the program and we didnt run into sweats every game, made it fun to do etc etc. Just such a bad decision to take all this away. I couldnt believe this was all gone last year. Was hoping they woke up coming into this year. Nope.

i just started palying online this year because they're forcing us to do so. some of the earlier events were fun but now they suck.
how does matchmaking work? why do I run into WS BANNER players when I'm new to the online. Why can't they match me against someone like me.
I don't play ranked so how do I even have a rank then? it makes no sense.

That is a good point.
Now with the Topps Now or Spotlight I don't see much of a reason to do the programs. The only reason I am even trying to keep up partially is in the hope that Jordan Walker or Riley O'Brien get cards in the monthly. But now that Walker cooled off and I don't think there is a chance he gets lightning I wonder if I should even bother with the program from Friday.

@LuvMyXBOX_XBL thats the only issue with events. Its completely random match making. If you play ranked you will get better competition and better matches. View events as a way to practice and get better. Accumulate stats, dont worry about losing.
