As an offline player, I get the hint

@LuvMyXBOX_XBL I think it’s wrong to make a mission with 11 wins on all star for a non sellable card. Some people just can’t do it and can’t get that card. If they want to make a mission like this, make it for packs or something that doesn’t block people from a card.

yeah I did that one because there was nothing else to do. it was a PIA though because every game felt the same. it's like we're left w the crumbs

@LuvMyXBOX_XBL I don’t have a problem with playing on All Star, but I feel for those who struggle. This is why everything should be sellable.

@xRatedGProdigyx_PSN If you really believe that, I have some ocean front property in Arizona to sell you. Offline players do not drop loads of money on the game like online sweats and try hards. There may be a few here and there, but the majority are online sweats.
Online players do, which is why SDS doesn't value offline players nearly as much.

To be fair, the game is currently monetized that way. Offline players are the types that are more likely to spend for things like a second tier of the inning pass (but then they would need to actually provide enough xp to complete it
Adding a paid version of the inning pass that gives a ton of packs (including some deluxe/premiers) and a second boss pack player would get a LOT of purchases from offline players. Its not like they would be taking away from the shitpass we get now.
I think the current model is prioritized towards people who are bad/average at the game but have money to burn. Doesnt really help them get any extra wins though.

As long as you are playing DD you aren't truly ''offline'', because when you are ''truly'' offline, DD isnt available. Tho I do still get the sentiment. I just always find it amusing to see offline and DD in the same breath, lol.
-
@dmc04005_PSN I love the patronising tone combined with the assumption that one who chooses to play offline must be bad.
-
@NotesOfJohn_PSN its not bad to be an offline player. Its just a little weak. Unless you physically cannot do it..i get that. You guys are Scared of losing, scared of getting better, scared of competition. I know the toxic players and the cheating sucks. Thats really only above the 800 rank levels, and you do not have to play them, they really dont come up very often. Dd is an online mode. Go play franchise if you want to beat up on a cpu everyday.
I can assure you no one cares if you have a losing record. If anything i respect it. Shows heart to lose and keep trying. Half of you want to give up. Its to hard..., im not good. Give me back my friendly games vs the cpu.. let me play mini seasons 4 hours a day.
lock in! Try to get better! I get destroyed from time to time as well. This topic is so soft. Btw im 16 and 11. Not very good.

^That is an awful lot of ignorance in one post. But if you feel better about yourself now I guess it was worth it?

wow....so you can read into the minds of every offline player?
the reason I don't play online is because of my past experience with online players who exploit the game to win at all costs.
See when I play this game, I want to play BASEBALL. I want to go against someone who manages and plays BASEBALL. I don't want to play someone who keeps taking extra bases because they know the defensive player gets stuck in an animation so it's easy to take the extra base. So to me online is a headache I can live without. I sometimes run into other players who actually have a baseball IQ online but it's far and few between. But at least I know vs the CPU, the chances that the CPU will play and manage the game like a real baseball manager vs an online player is higher.
And I don't give a [censored] about 700 rank or 800 rank....it means nothing to me. If I play online, all I am looking for is to play someone else that has a baseball mind. To me , playing against another human being is a battle of baseball minds. That's fun to me. If I get someone to play like that I don't care about wins or losses. I care for a fun experience. Baseball wit vs baseball wit. But against those who exploit the game, they usually have low baseball IQ. but they have a high videogame winning at all costs IQ.
And that's why this game is going to become like 2K, or all the EA Ultimate team modes. you're attitude is exactly why they're leaning that way. And the ones who care about playing baseball will lose at the end to greed.
And you're bashing a generation as soft because of a videogame mode? that's sort of not smart.

@LuvMyXBOX_XBL sounds like a bunch excuses to me. But do you.

that's the response I excepted from someone like you.
-
@LuvMyXBOX_XBL I said do you. Playing vs a cpu is not fun or appealing in anyway. Ill stay young at mind and keep my competitive edge. You continue to play vs a computer. All good.. you just went on a political rant for no reason.

All good.. you just went on a political rant for no reason. I expected that from someone like you also. Everyone knows this generation is soft. Thats not even political anymore. Facts.
they said the same thing about your generation when they were in their 20s/30s. See how that works? If soft means being emotionally intelligent, standing up for your rights, and fighting inequality then I'm all for this 'soft' generation.
-
@LuvMyXBOX_XBL im 46 not much younger than you. I know. Not going to talk politics with you buddy. This is an offline vs online video game discussion. Calm down..
-
@LuvMyXBOX_XBL im 46 not much younger than you. I know.
you don't get it do you. the older generation said the same thing about your generation that you're saying about today's youth. see how that works? see how that divides people?
You seem to be one of those guys who need to get the last word in so I'll stop and you can respond.
-
@LuvMyXBOX_XBL have a good night. Wasn't talking about youth. You just assumed I meant youth. I mean everyone who doesnt want to try online and get better. I changed it to this offline topic is soft is that better for you? Im entitled to my opinion just like everyone else.

You guys are Scared of losing, scared of getting better, scared of competition.
Literally no one is "scared" of that. People just dont like to waste their time playing someone whos gonna run the second they give up a HR or a big hit. No one wants to sit in a manufactured freeze off just to take an L. And no one wants to play people who seemingly have perfect PCI placement and timing no matter where the pitch goes.
Too many of yall have ways to circumvent the competition aspect of online play for a guaranteed win and its a joke. You must be scared of losing....scared to get better....scared of competition or something.
-
This thread is bonkers. There are reasons to dislike online play (lag, cheese, cheating, meta is OP, and it often feels like a slow slog) and there are reasons to get bored with offline play (the CPU isn't a great baseball mind - its an easily abused AI script and theres not much challenge).
You dont really need to get deeper than that. Both of the issues above could be improved to better both experiences.

FWIW I haven't really run in to much, if any, of that so far this year. For the most part my online games have been pretty normal. Might be worth giving it another shot. I'm on Playstation with cross play off, not sure if that makes any difference.
