I guess I'm in the minority on this, but I don't mind the slower pace so far this year. It's nice to not feel like there is always something that you need to finish and to be able to just hop on and play with my main team for fun.
The problem with the slower pace is that it is really killing the interest for those of us who mainly concentrate on their favorite team because we know or do not desire to try and earn every single card.
The Brewers have not had a card drop in 36 days
The Rockies and Mariners in 22 Days
The Pirates, Rangers and Blue Jays in 21 daysOut of that group only Toronto is definitely getting a new card today.
Even though the Cardinals have had 2 cards added since Spring Breakout they have both been in packs and I am not spending all my stubs on a 91 Tommy Edman

I dont get why everyone says that about DQ - I mean, people feel how they feel, I guess....but everything in this game is a percentage chance. Every pack you rip is a percentage. I dont know why it frustrates people to play an easy all-star game where you have 80 percent chance of getting reward - if you get unlucky, run it again, no big deal.
I do wish DQ and Conquest had more strategy - like, make them a real board game where you have to think about your move, and plan, and stuff
My big issue with DQ is that it is supposed to be a roguelike but you do not gain anything from failed runs besides peanuts. Every run is identical...sure you may get different moments in different places but those all feel the same anyway.

I spent 65k on the Edman and he’s great. I put him out in RF until we get an updated Walker. I also hesitated on blowing stubs on him but his defense is elite and he can be plugged into RF or infield. I’d have put him in CF but the card doesn’t have that as a secondary and I have to have my giants McGee roaming CF so no big deal.

I have 62K in stubs and he is going for 60K
I have 88 Wetherholt and 88 Winn at 2B and Shortstop and I hope we get a 90 plus Walker in the monthly drop.
Since I am playing less this year I need to be really careful with my stubs. There are any number of legends (Gibson, McGwire, Smith, Brock, McGee, Pendleton, Carlton, and probably some I am forgetting) that could be coming and I would be upset if they, for example, dropped a 93 McGee in the next few weeks but I had no stubs because I blew them all on Edman.

Yeah I feel you there. At worst you could just “rent” him and don’t lock him into a collection, then sell him when a card you prefer comes out. I was surprised he stayed as expensive as he is but I think maybe in a few hours once we know what awards series collection entails his cost may plummet.
Pure speculation- in a few hours he may drop way down to where the other headliners have been, 25k-30k range
Either way he plays great and is better than Winn just being a switch hitter. Definitely buy him if you get lucky on packs this weekend

Trout is probably down to 25K more because there is a free 92 Trout dropping today. So even those not bothering with the collection will be selling their existing Trout card so they can replace him with the newer one.

There’s so many cool things they could do with diamond quest, which is just slay the spire but way worse. It’d be cool to hit a square and get to play with whoever diamond you normally wouldn’t use. [censored] like that.
So many cool things they drop the ball on it’s like they have an idea and then do absolutely nothing with it. Conquest is Risk except there’s no risk nor much reward.

It means less work for them and promotes the possibility of people spending money.
