Event matchmaking

I love when they put out new event programs - for the next two days, you have all these awful players trying to grind.
Im a decent but not great player who normally wins 65 percent of event games (because most regular event players are good). But, when a program drops, I win like 95 percent. The matchmaking doesn't really seem to work. Even after winning 7 in a row, you're still getting matched with a player that you can just bully with high sinkers and cutters. Good for racking up stats - take em to bullytown.

I’ve had such a bad time playing this event, terrible batters eye, ball is dead in this ballpark… the winning formula is weak single, steal 2nd, weak single and score… I am TIRED of the singles with 65-79 exit velo, it happens way too often in this game.
-
I'm a ok player but it is unfair to be matched up with players who are some of the top players in the game ,just had a game, pitched a ball that almost hit my first base man and he stil got the bat to the bal with a line drive to score two runs it's just not fun playing this game anymore.

@rubicante23_PSN so you are cheese player good to know. I wont cheese someone like you in meaningless event games. In ranked if they cant hit that pitch sure spam it all day. Come on man, we want people to play online. Not get cheesed up everytime they do. Just because the game makes those pitches hard to hit. Games fault..btw. doesnt mean you have to spam it over and over. Be a better sport. No one cares about your events record. Show class. This is the exact toxic play all the offline players are worried about.

My favorite thing about this event is that its in Terrapin Park. This game needs a feature where people who choose Coors Field randomly get put in a game with the worst hitters park at lowest elevation. And take away their pencil bat too - why does everyone use that? Lol
For real, singles can be frustrating, but they're more like real baseball than the normal dinger fest we have in this game.

I hate coors and I can say that I hate Terrapin even more, you’re a psycho lol

It's easy to forget how many people just can't get to high-inside sinker. Like, well over half of the people who play the game. Some can get to the straight fastball up there, but not the sinker.
Personally, I love when I load into a game and see that the opponent is regularly throwing velocity up and inside - because most of them do it in extremely predictable situations, and you can just tattoo that to tatertown. But, the reason they do it is because sinker is so OP and so many people just can't seem to get the pci to that corner.
Like, I can believe lots of people playing on a TV or without a solid connection just physically cannot get there in time to hit anything.

@AppleLemon560_MLBTS something that over 50 percent of the player base cannot hit shouldn't be in the game. Id say its probably closer to 70 percent. Should be a harder pitch to throw or coded differently. This is also the game developers fault. In real baseball pitchers dont spam the same pitch in the same location. Why are they making it easy for people to be toxic?
-
@Ditka06_MLBTS yeah, it's OP and should be nerfed. But, I don't think it's "toxic" to take advantage of your opponent's obvious weakness. Trying to freeze glitch or cheat is toxic.
Plus, it's good for your character. If you're gonna play online, the first thing you have to do is find a way not to get beaten by high or inside heat....if you don't have that, the game is unplayable.

I'm with you, I love when my opponent starts doing this because it becomes very predictable and easy to hit. Then they quit when they realize it won't work.
