Weekend Classic Exploit
-
SDS is out of their league, please just sell the rights to a better developer so they can make a good baseball game.

@GooseOnEm_PSN Same thing just happened to me. I'm in Silver 2 and just played a player with a World Series icon. Rather than match players against players in the same reward tier, it appears that they match players solely on rating. So a player can peak at 800, slot into the Gold 2 reward tier, then lose a bunch of games to tank their rating prior to Weekend Classic, and then matchup with low rated players while still playing in Gold 2. This is broken.

@MiSsippiKid96_XBL Thank you for describing the issue very clearly. What if SDS only allowed players within the same reward tier to play each other? That would presumably solve the problem.
-
@BalsamicArrow88_XBL sadly there’s not really any better option. Ea and 2k all have just as big of flaws if not bigger Sds has delivered in the past even tho I do agree this year has been extremely frustrating.
-
@Luv2Float_PSN this was a problem first weekend classic last year as I’ve said in other posts this is a good idea performed poorly.
-
Consider also that there are some people like me - I hate playing ranked 9-inning games, so I only play enough to get multiplayer rewards. Then, I reluctantly play weekend classic. Im about a 700 player, but of course Ill be in the lower division because I never play.
BTW, Im shocked how many lower ranked players have Pujols and Tulo. Im not really knocking it - average players have just as much right as good players to spend for a stacked team. I just feel a little bad for some players - like they thought getting these guys would make them good, and slowly they're realizing that nothing makes you good at this game, lol
-
@rubicante23_PSN I mean that’s crazy I’m a ws player and my timeline for ls collection is usually June July.
-
@Onix_Savage22_PSN I’m not so sure. If EA or 2K could put the right team together, they could make a great baseball game. Especially with gameplay and graphics. I have been playing WWE 2k26 and it is one of the better sports games I’ve played in awhile, I haven’t even watched pro wrestling since the attitude era.
-
@Onix_Savage22_PSN well, yeah...they're clearly just buying the players. Judging from how many are doing that, seems like sds is raking it in, lol
-
@rubicante23_PSN yeah or cause I got rly lucky pulls and was able to do it Nms but there’s no way everybody is.

I just got tulo yesterday. The past 5 or 6 years ive had the collection done earlier. I suck at the game and I fully realize that having great cards won't make me good. The only saving grace I usually have or hope for are OP pitchers locked behind pay walls because I usually have plenty if stubs for such cards whereas most the people I face on AS will not lol
The biggest reason I get collections done ASAP is for me and my coop partner to enjoy good cards. I bring the expensive ones and he fills in where we need. The second biggest reason is because I am usually done playing by July as my summer schedule gets busy with kids being out of school (late June they are done here in Canada) and summer projects take over.
So yeah, I suck and no cards make me better but whatever. I like having good cards to swing and miss with lol
