Check swings Ranked

Has anyone else had a problem on ranked recently where you swing usually with 2 strike at something at like your knees. And the dude check swings. I am talking holding the buttons committing to the swing. It has happened to me and my friends recently even lost me a game where I had 15 check swings on curves at my knees pci was there good timing but made me check swing. Its annoying. Not my controller. I have a brand new controller. At least 3 friends I talked to on the past week have noticed this as well.
