PSA regarding collections

This isn't a complaint thread. It is a knowledge thread to let people know what they are getting into if they decide to do collections. I have done a TON of mini seasons and have all the TA's done. Not the fan TA but the other ones. I have had some good pulls including Witt now twice after last night and Soto. I have not pulled Judge or Ohtani. I have sold basically everything I can to put towards LS so I don't even have Pasquantino in the WBC collection. I have the AL done after buying Judge but am still about 1.4 million away from completing the NL. I could pull Judge and Ohtani and still not have enough to do the NL. Think about that.
My suggestion for people that want to do the LS is if you don't or can't do these things you will not complete this at this time until maybe September if you are close to starting. Here are the 4 things you need:
You have to pull Judge and/or Ohtani
Be able to win 10 games in BR
Flip
Spend moneyI have never really tried to get LS done this quick and just wanted to see. What I see is it is pretty much a waste of time if you are not able to do one or more of those 4 things. If you see someone that has collections done and they claim NMS, they have done one or more of these things. There is no way to complete these without them. Well you could pull Witt like 20 times I guess. Good luck with that.

I’m Ohtani and Witt away at the moment. I’ve pulled Judge opening night of early release. Haven’t played BR and haven’t spent a dime after the $100 I drop opening night. It’s doable. I just need some luck with Ohtani or my investments to hit.

Yep and at 1/12,500 packs for Judge and Ohtani you have to be insanely lucky. It’s kind of like the fake natty thing in bodybuilding. Everyone claims to be natural but they all are on something to achieve “the look”.
So NMS means either super elite at the game, insane luck, flipping non stop, or simply lying about spending money. It’s that simple. People can spend their time and money how they want but at least be honest about it like you were in this post.

How doable would it be had you not pulled Judge? You are helping my cause.

I pulled judge in the first week or so and sold him since I don’t care for the collections. Unless it contains a player for my theme team. Realistically you should be having a 99 ovr card in the first month or two.

I am nms have tulo but got insanely lucky pulls and I can second this if I didn’t not pull Ohtani twice. let alone once and flip a ton I would be nowhere near tulo I never use roflo’s favroite card so it was nice to get lucky this year.

This is a great post - yes, if you wanna finish LS right now, those are the ways.
Or, you could just accept that LS is meant to be finished in July or August...and you can get there with normal intelligent grinding, not just flipping and stock market simulator

@DemIsE4_XBL I say it multiple times every year, but the biggest mistake people make is buying cards that go down over time first instead of buying the guys who go up over time. Buy the most expensive cards first and don’t worry about any collections until you’re basically done. You’ll get it done cheaper and faster.
