position of DH and utility players
-
Just checked RTTS player creation. Saw no create player as DH option. Maybe as change of position, b/c so far in my second year, I still haven't been able to choose an additional position. He's just at RF.. only an option to change position. Does anyone know if the option to add a an additional position, later on ?

Once you get thru high school and college you can ask the manager to be a DH…
That will work I have done it…As far as the utility option.
Someone on staff will come in and tell you that it is possible.
They won’t tell you how to do it because they would be lying -
Ah.. okay.
thanks -
@Geo-Titan_XBL play for few weeks and then go to messages and click on coach. You can request to DH only there

Also, isn't it time to expand the ability to make/change players to wider range of positions ?
for example: utility players that can play the infield and outfield, together. They do exit irlI have been wanting this for years.
The first thing I do is trade for all the Bert Campaneris type players to fill out my bench.
It would be SO much easier if you could just better edit the secondary positions.

@StinkyMcPooter_XBL I think it was 2k but one of the old baseball games had a rating at each position
I thought that was much better.
At the time the Braves had Martin Prado who could play his main position of 2B but could also play 3B, 1B, and LF. -

I want to be a middle relief guy, not a starter or closer. Let me pitch the 5th 6th or 7th inning please. Way past time to add setup man.

@Graeves-_PSN I think they need to delete the CP and make it just RPs.
That is how it is in real life
If you are the best you close
If you are second best you are the setup man -

If you are second best you are the setup man the problem is in the actual designation The Show uses. Sometimes the Closer designation means absolutely nothing because sometimes there is another reliever who does not have that Closer designation but he is the better pitcher and the CPU chooses to ignore the Closer designation and has the other RP do the closing. And I don't mean as a one-off but closes way more than the Closer. So since the designation means nothing, get rid of it. And while they're at it get rid of the Starting and Relief designation as well. Let stamina be the the thing that the CPU uses to name Starting Pitcher come game time. And let stamina be a living breathing fluid progress/regress attribute. The more innings you use a pitcher, his stamina should rise to the amount you use him. Use a pitcher sparingly his stamina decreases gradually. Probably too hard to code tho.
