Does the background blur impact your online play?

I've seen a few content creators say the blur added input lag.
I played the first Friday online and mashed everythjng. Last Friday I was late on everything. Not sure if the servers or me.
In both cases I had the background blur on. Is this a common thing or just a anecdotal observation from a few creators?

I'm guessing this. I haven't noticed any issues online or off using the depth of field option. My favorite addition this year.
