@sds_joek_psn secondary positions still doesn’t work. I’ve changed positions through my manager many times. It does not make my “old” position as my secondary. Only changes my primary. I am NOT a two way player. Please please tell me there’s a fix to this coming. I’d like to be a true utility player.

I tried it again today and I had the same issue. This was on a player that was created after the patch. I deleted the early access player that I tried it on the first time with the same results.

This isn’t the way we were told this was going to work. During the RTTS live stream we asked the question “will secondary positions be available right from the start?” The answer was yes they will. That was the only reason I actually preordered this year. I was going to skip it this year and just create custom rosters. It is a feature we’ve been asking to have for years but SDS just ignores us.

@Tandil1368_XBL I’m glad I’m not the only one upset about this. I want to be a utility player and play positions I’m needed as such. For example, my character now is a 70 overall with good defense. Because my bat isn’t as good yet, it doesn’t make sense to have worse lineups with me at my only position when there is favorable lineups if I could be utilized elsewhere to get a different bat in the lineup and still keep my defense.

Not to mention, being a third basemen every game is so stale with all the bunts… I mean Pete Alonso bunting for a hit with 2 strikes?? Cmon… plus everyone and their brother being base stealers while I play middle infield positions. As a utility player, atleast it switches it up. Idk..

I changed the position of my 3rd baseman after 2 straight games against the Royals and Salvatore Perez bunting with a full count and no one on base. Still don’t have a secondary position after switching to 2nd baseman.

@Tandil1368_XBL same. I moved to second as well. From what I’ve gathered 2nd has the most real action plays and feels the most fun. First base is okay too but still have to deal with some of the bunting. Shortstop is just a base covering simulator for steals. That’s with turning the steal frequency slider down too. Idk.. just unfortunate. I’d be okay if they recognized the things people are complaining about and say they are working to fix it. Instead they ignore it and focus on diamond dynasty stuff..

What I find funny is that if you play SS you’re supposed to cover steals, but if you play 2nd it’s your job. Covering second on a steal is a 2nd baseman’s job with SS backup on edge of grass, that’s not how this works”sim” works.

It should actually depend on the batters handedness. If it’s a lefty batting, the SS covers so the 2B can cover the pull side. At least that’s how I was taught.

@genopolanco_PSN this is correct. However in this game shortstops cover way more steals than second base. It’s an unrealistic amount of steals, that’s my problem. Every other play is covering a steal which just isn’t how the mlb is in real life.
