@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN The prices of high diamonds this early into the year has greatly risen from the start of last years game. Shohei was going for about 300k at this time last year, he is now over 600k and judge is 400k. The prices have risen from last year and you are oblivious to that.
Judge was already over 400K this time last year and Ohtani was close to 700K. I had actual text conversations with friend about this [censored] last year because at one point in early April, i needed over 2 million stubs for Judge, Ohtani, Ramirez, Witt and Trout ffs.

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN this is a flat out lie. Ohtani was under 400k. He didn’t hit 500k until after the first roster update.
Just found it. April 17th the LS collection was 2.2 mil, so 350k less than it is right now. The entire Dodgers team was around the price of Ohtani alone right now.

@jisaksen2422_PSN, I tell you, it's tough sometimes; there are days I look at my 401K statement, and a little worry creeps in... am I still on track to hang it all up in 13 years? I think, man, if I could just pick up 1,000 bronze cards and strike gold with them... I'd have peace, security, and Ohtani.
But now what do I do?
This whole investing thing's really got me down... and I'm not just thinking of myself. I mean, think of all the people out there who will now never know the pure joy of 450 commons turning silver, and will never get to fully appreciate the life-changing possibilities that once came with every roster update. It really affects the entire benevolent investor class, who selflessly work to keep costs down for everyone who looks up to them, cheering them on, knowing in their hearts that the investors are really doing it for them.
But, hey... we just try to go on.
I hope you find your way through these terrible, terrible times.

I played the market as well as going through the grind. You must have been just seething at the fact some people could buy whatever card they wanted, and I’m sorry that hurt you so bad. I don’t know if you were just not smart enough to realize you could do it, or too lazy to put in buy orders… whatever. Investing is gone, it is what it is. That’s honestly the least of the problems with the game these days.

The diamonds are not cheaper. They’re MORE expensive. It’s the common-gold cards that are all sitting at quicksell.
The cards you buy because they’re rare and you can’t rip enough packs to pull them? UP.
The cards you sell because you get them all the time? DOWN.
