Unable to play Diamond Dynasty on PS5 ??

Looking for anyone's help or thoughts ...
My son can play with other plays on the MLB 24 on his PS4 system but when he tries to play it on his PS5 console it won't allow him to "play" online against other players.
Should the PS4 console be deactivated completely ?
ALSO, he did try playing MLB25 on his PS5 last night and still wouldn't allow him to play online against other players!
Please help!!

He does still have ps plus membership correct?

The ps4 might have different account attached to it that has PlayStation online membership. Costs like 10 a month.

There's only ever one account/user name on the PS4 - should I wipe clean the PS4 system - should that help ??

No that’s not necessary. He might still wanna use those games. If he knows the password could sign out. Think that’s still possible. And sign in to only PS5.

Has he gotten any PS5 games to work online against others?

Oh that’s a head scratcher. Maybe delete the game from storage and Re install if haven’t already tried is last I can think of.

It is strange! We don't know what else to do!

@EliteDonahue_PSN yeah hope that fixes it. The install and new update. He can get back to playing.
