Stubs Sale??

Any idea of if/when one of these will be happening? Heard it could be soon

Typically we never saw one until the All-Star Game. Last year we saw one on Fathers Day I think? Maybe Mothers Day? Either way it was way earlier than normal. They've kind of shifted to using flash sales to get people to buy packs which also crash the market then follow up with a stub sale to bring prices back up. If you time everything up it's a great chance to make some stubs!
That said, I have no idea when the first stub sale will be. I don't think prices have fallen enough to justify one yet. But 2020 is weird...

Yeah prices have actually went up on most everything....a stub sale would easily push Trout's price into the mid 300s. It does feel like we're getting close to the point a stub sale will drop though considering they pushed this years game out so early. I'd be much happier to wait until mid May though

My intention was to buy stubs in the first stub sale with what I have budgeted for the game this year but I am not sure I am willing to support SDS further given how the game is playing right now.

This: There are so many great games out there right now, I'll buy a game I enjoy playing and save money all at the same time.

I only play this and madden and I quit madden in January because of garbage game play that I could no longer stomach.

It's not a "sale". It's a pretty standard marketing ploy used by mobile apps and micro transaction companies.
They tell you an inflated price ($100 for 165K). Then they say "Sale!" and give it to you at a lesser rate. You are still paying big money for something that you can get for free. The psychology of making you think it's worth more than it is causes you to spend your money on the game, instead of....I don't know, food, or getting out of debt.

Compared to a game like madden that offers NO type of sale whatsoever then I consider it a "sale" lol
