Boss Challenge and ball takes not awarded

Why is my player not being awarded a successfully completed Boss Challenge? Also, ball takes (off speed pitches) are not being awarded, yet bad takes or bad swings are being penalized.

Boss bug has been a bug since last years game and has never been fixed. You only get awarded for takes on pitches close to the strike zone. Obvious balls are easier to take when they are off speed pitches vs fastballs( you’re more likely to swing at a fastball not close to the zone)
