How can I get through MTO fast.
-
You can’t get through it fast but you should get passed it faster than 10-11 hours. 6-8 is more like it.
-
5-7 hrs for regular season, then 15-30 mins for each playoff game(depending on offense and pitch counts)
-
Play on a level easy for you. When you take the lead get out as fast as you can. Don’t call up or trade for any starting pitchers. Avoid extra innings. If you can do that, you can finish in 6-7 hours. Compare that to how many hours you would spend doing showdown.

these guys are about right. i started Houston yesterday morning and played an hour or two then yesterday for an hour or two and i've got like 20 games left in regular season of which i'll prolly play 2-3 of those based on the simulation. If you sweep the playoffs, that will obviously save some time as well as it's only 11 games and most of them all start in the 6th or 7th inning and you'll have the lead too based off of team momentum.

If you play on a level that you dominate, me on Veteran. You will build a huge division lead in the first half that the 2nd half flies by. So it may take over 3 hours to do first half of the season, it will only take about an hour to do the 2nd half. On Veteran that is 22 points. For the teams with cheap collections the other 28 is easy to get playing DD.
But playoffs are long taking nearly as long as the regular season and longer if you mess up and lose.
Also if you are not dominating you will have to play more opportunities making it take longer. Also on higher levels you have to be more patient and it takes even more time.
If I have to be that patient, I'd be better off playing Showdown.

Get the lead, then bunt the rest of your at bats. That'll help take some time off.

Watch this video from GomesDaLegend. He provides some great tips on changing some settings to make MTO a lot faster....probably cut at least an hour off the the time it takes.
-
First play on Veteran or All-star to make things more comfortable for you.
Second get accustomed to your players swings and timing.
Third if you come to a situation where you are behind or tied, pause the game, turn on hitting tutorial, meat ball pitch is always paused for you on the second pitch and all you got to do is press square or the x button. (make sure you are using a power bat!)
Fourth turn off all base running opportunities and fielding opportunities to speed up the games.
Fifth do not I repeat do not call up any developing players as it will cost you time.
Sixth trade all your prospects for good players. You will not be going into franchise and the goal here is to win the World Series as fast as possible.
Seventh take the lead by a run or two and force outs to make the game go by faster.
Lastly..........profit! Enjoy your FOTF cards for DD.
Hope this helps

They do, but you get more team affinity than you do in the regular season.
