20 Card Max

Greedy by SDS. Going to be impossible to actually complete live series collection this year. Going to kill the game before it even starts. I wouldn’t have preordered if I knew they were pulling this.
-
This is just ridiculous. Why on earth is there a cap and that wasn’t mentioned beforehand? If that’s the case, you are going to upset more than 60-70% of the player base and I think in the long run would be detrimental to SDS as I know I personally would be completely F2P if this is the case. Very disappointed.
-
cancelled my re-up for ps plus, down voted every youtube video these folks put out that didn't mention this change. Would have preferred to have my $100 back that I was intentionally misled into spending on a falsely advertised product, but it still made me feel a little better.
-
It's pretty simple for me. Last year was the first time I played Diamond Dynasty, and I didn't love it. The one thing I enjoyed was investing. If that has been removed without any sort of warning, SDS is fully entitled to that decision. However, I'll be getting a refund, and I'll never pre-order a future MLB The Show game due to the deception. So, just let us know. That's all I ask for, a public statement.
-
Investing was a key part of the game and nothing felt better then opening the game after a roster update and having the rewarding feeling of a good investment
-
60-70% of the player base
Again, I don't agree with the change
But come back down to reality.
-
@gone-viral_xbl I was denied my refund, best of luck. If you figure out a way to get a deserved refund please keep us posted.
-
@gypsea99_PSN I'm on Xbox, not PSN. They're better about refunds.
If you're on Xbox and considering a refund, make sure not to play. Low play time is crucial.
-
@gypsea99_PSN Try a credit card dispute. Those are quite effective as a rule.
-
@gone-viral_xbl unfortunately because they purposely deceived me about this I had to play the game to find out about it. Yet another dirty trick, not surprising at all though. The only chance I had was to not pre-order and watch this forum to find out how they would purposefully mislead me. Won't be falling for that scummy move ever again, I hope... ha.
-
We'll see how it plays out, but there is at least a chance that this could keep live series prices lower. Hopefully it does.
-
I really hate this move. I enjoyed investing, made me pay attention more to the mlb to be honest. i bet this year the game will dry out and so will my fandom because of this.
-
@CUPIT___PSN It's wild to just eliminate a core of the player base like this, especially unannounced.
They'll feel it with the declining numbers, just like Destiny 2 did, but that's sometimes the only way a business learns. In the case of Destiny, Bungie and Sony learned too late. I hope that doesn't happen with SDS.

I don't think any of these unfamiliar accounts actually care about live series prices being lower to be honest
-
@Pergo_MLBTS every year, when they ruin the game, everyone quits and live series is cheap. Because no one cares about the game anymore. I think they may have set a record by ruining the game minute one on release night (or pre release if you are too dense to see it is the actual release and the later release is yet another fomo scam by these "kind people"). So you should get cheap cards in a dead game very soon.

This community never ceases to amaze me.
"The best part of the game is buying a hundred of the same card and staring at my screen all day waiting for the price to fluctuate"
Crazy...i would think the best part of a baseball game would be actually playing baseball.

"Estimates for total active players across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms are around 184,000 to 199,000 daily active players in February 2026. Peak activity can reach higher numbers during major content releases, with historical peaks exceeding 327,000 concurrent users during expansions."
Destiny 2 is doing just fine....especially for a game thats 9 years old.
-
@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN same, but alas, we have the same cheese off, lag fest in every pvp experience. Same as we have had for over a decade. This would be the best game ever made if online was enjoyable. And instead of fixing it so people enjoy playing the baseball part, the keep ruining the other things that keeps people returning to the game to try and force them to play the cheese off, lag fest pvp because they can fomo our wallets in that mode.
-
@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN Destiny just dipped under 5k simultaneous players the other day. It's down 98% in playtime in less than two years. It's doing "just fine" in the same way that someone in a coma is.
-
@gypsea99_PSN Amen. The wildest part isn't that SDS shamelessly did this in a cowardly fashion, which is what appears to have happened. It's that a few people here are supporting this kind of behavior. If you let them take away the part of the game others enjoy, nobody will be here to support you when they remove the thing you love. We're trending toward impossible odds Diamond Dynasty with very little else in the package.
