20 Card Max
-
@xero4019_XBL I finished the LS “organically” the last 3 years around June. I don’t get the “big collections” on day one either.
Don’t give in to FOMO.
-
@DrBear100_PSN It’s largely the same game and they’ve tanked stub making.
-
What a shame! Oh well, I'll stick with my endgame 99's on 2025 and explore different games. Maybe really work at getting better at Tekken 8. Maybe I'll check back several weeks before the All Star game. Unfortunately, I will skip this year's edition. Here's to 2027 or maybe someone else will get MLB rights and be competitive, not holding my breath to either.
-
@AppleLemon560_MLBTS yeah, there should be two major ways to progress at this game
- Grind your tail off and do all the stuff, or
- Be really good and repeatedly cash in on the biggest rewards
You can do both just fine in this game and get all the stuff NMS
I don't really know why there should be a #3 option that's like "be a fence that takes advantage of inefficient economic markets"
-
@DrBear100_PSN well it’s the right attitude to have if you’re not satisfied, instead of being angry or disappointed all the time.
I’m the opposite of you though: I like early cycle when the diamonds are few and far between and you hit tanks with underrated silvers. The power creep is too fast IMO. Once we get close to 99, I feel like cards start losing their uniqueness
-
@rubicante23_PSN And now you just fabricated a theoretical player to propagate your mythical argument.
-
@DrBear100_PSN Correct. There's no point to buy right now. Wait to see how it all shakes out. What you can do is buy it for $20 during the holidays and get a bunch of free 99s. What they -want- you to do is buy now, play H2H, get wrecked, and feel compelled to waste your disposable income on digital currency that will hold no value in a year. This move represents a significant step in that direction.
-
@AppleLemon560_MLBTS They give influencers millions of Stubs to post those videos. So, this does nothing to stop that.
-
@Gone-Viral_XBL no they don’t. The streamers buy them and write them off as tax deductions.
-
@DrBear100_PSN It’s largely the same game and they’ve tanked stub making.
I think there were a lot of complaints about stub making early in the 25 cycle as well. I can't remember what "nerfed" it, but margins were really low from what I remember.
-
@DrBear100_PSN If they would have announced this, I wouldn’t have got the game this year. That’s probably why they didn’t announce it. All those streamers that played the game didn’t say anything either. I guess that why they fly these guys out. Wine and dine them so they don’t talk negatively about their game. None of them are talking about it.
-
@xero4019_XBL Streamers absolutely are gifted Stubs. Yes, any packs they buy on their own are tax write-offs, but that's a side conversation.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN Right. Anyone defending this sort of intentional duplicity has questionable morals.
-
Back in the day, you couldn't even place more than 25 buy orders at once. You guys are spoiled now. Think about that. SDS has really evolved on this, but obviously a correction was needed as this was also causing card inflation. I Applaud the change by SDS.
-
@ebbets1957_PSN you guys keep claiming that, but the proof actually shows it’s a lack of supply.
-
@DrBear100_PSN It’s largely the same game and they’ve tanked stub making.
*for people that invest heavily
It doesn't change NMS viability, but it does make it harder to make stubs while working or pooping
-
@xero4019_XBL Respectfully, Its not just that. Bots were absolutely killing the fun of the market last year. You could but bids on cards and literally a second later, the price would go up. This I am certain is an effort to correct that.
As to you proof, its pretty simple math. When many people are putting on 100's of orders on a card, it takes far longer for that card to go down in price, becuase many more have to sell before the next "sell now" order is completed. If 100 people all put in 100 orders for the same player, that means 10,000 orders would need to be filled for that card, ensuring the price of that card will never go down, it will only go up.
You know, I felt the same way as you when things I loved in the game like Y2Y saves and Sounds of the Show were completely removed from the game. People in this same forum laughed about it because it wasn't important to them, so I get it. It stinks that this was not communicated prior to launch I agree. But I can assure you as a software developer this was ALL about bots slamming the market.
I do wonder though. With this limit, what the "unintended consequences" might be. Will this result in more orders of 20 per card but these bots across more accounts being created, causing prices and inflation to actually get worse? Will be interesting to see.
-
@ebbets1957_PSN Something is worse this year than it was last year. That's not how new products are supposed to work. You're applauding their making the game worse, which is definitely a take.
-
@Gone-Viral_XBL obviously, you didnt read my comment above. I am applauding it in the hope that it fixes the HUGE issues with Bots controlling the market.
-
@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN zero percent chance you finished LS and all the other collections “organically”. You’ll tell me you did, but that’s an outright lie, unless you don’t have a job and play the game 24/7. In which case, SDS thanks you for your service.
I finish LS and all collections organically and NMS spent every year. And I have a job. It's really not hard at all, it just won't happen on day one.
