    I'm not sure if anyone has been having issues, however this topic needs some serious work. The pitch is 95% in the strike zone if not more and is continually called a ball. I lose nearly 40% of the strike zone with all edges of the strike zone. I'm all for making the game more difficult, however this is worse than Angel Hernandez.. and that's saying quite a bit. Can't adjust any setting or anything to ensure the umpire is accurate. Ruins the playing experience more and more everytime I play until I just don't want to play anymore. Frustrating to say the least.
    Does anyone have any information about this? Or just an issue that needs addressed by the developers?

    I'm pretty sure they intentially do that to make it seem like real life.

    @mhenry23_PSN
    If Angel Hernandez was in the game it would be realistic.

    It's been a multi-year issue, with hundreds of customers showing the proof in bug reports. SDS has never implemented the rule book strike zone and with ABS used this season, the issue is more acute than ever before. The way the MLB rule is written, if any part of the ball touches any part of the strike zone, then the pitch is ruled a strike.

    The way SDS has implemented the strike zone, anything from 50% to 100% of the ball has to be in the zone to be called a strike. There is no valid reason why this bug has persisted. It's just another example of SDS stubbornly refusing to fix reported mistakes in the game.

    Umpires are graded on the rule book strike zone and those grades are now hard and fast, and umpires are told that if they grade poorly, they are subject to disciplinary action. Most real world umpires get the call right per the rule book about 98% of the time, with the allowable error being the width of the ball.

    Now that ABS will be in use in the season, umpires who fail will be humiliated by overturned call after overturned call. It will become a public mode of correction that will force umpires to get the calls right.

    I’m hoping they finally fix this with ABS in the game this. This has been broken since like 15 or 16,. No matter how many people complain about it, it seems like they just don’t care.
