I got this from a comment on here or from a comment section on a video, sorry my memory is really bad and I recommend taking this information with a grain of salt.

So basically, theres a theory that when someone is a cover athlete for an MLB The Show game, the next year after that news, they are in the World Series. This started happening when Jazz Chisholm Jr was called the cover athlete for MLB The Show 23, and he was in the 2024 World Series, then Vlad Jr was the cover athlete for MLB The Show 24, and then he was in the 2025 World Series. So my whole point here is who will be in the 2026 World Series, since there are 3 cover athletes for MLB The Show 25? I mean, do you think it is a coincidence that Suarez went with the Reds via signing, Ozuna went with the Pirates also via signing, Taylor Ward went to the Orioles via trade, and Pete Alonso also went to the Orioles via signing? Those transactions/signings and trade(s) kind of adds fuel to the fire you know. It makes it hard to think who will be in the 2026 World Series, but in my opinion, the Baltimore Orioles will make it. But then this creates a new theory, has the regular seasons in the MLB from 2024 onward been scripted this whole time? Edit: It is a coincidence in my opinion that those players went to those teams, but it makes them better, increases their chances of playing in the 2026 World Series. So I guess Aaron Judge will be in the 2027 World Series if this keeps going on.

Not if a 4-team trade happens and somehow, Ely and Skenes end up on the Yankees, Judge ends up in Pittsburgh with Henderson.

Yankees and Pirates, Yankees in 4.
