Your second suggestion has been suggested by dozens of customers at this very forum ever since SDS chose to do away with the Sounds of the Show feature, which was universally loved by the customers. SDS never bothered to explain their actions. Some have speculated it was a proprietary technology integrated into Playstation consoles, but given Sony Interactive Entertainment manufactures those consoles, and also owns SDS, it stands to reason that whatever proprietary technology was needed to stretch the option to X-Box consoles was very doable.
Of all the customization options for customers to employ, this option was the most enjoyable. It was an outstanding immersion that customers could import and select a favorite song for his avatar player's music in RTTS.
When SDS removed Sounds of the Show and then replaced the team selectable background screens with a one-size-fits-all model, it represented the beginning to the ebb for MLB The Show's popularity, as more and more people have seen the title morph away from the customization features integral to peoples' love of baseball.
