Question about the cold and hot icon

I've always wondered if those icons were just a visual indication that the player was streaking or slumping or if it had a direct + - impact on attributes.

Does anybody know the answer for sure?

If a player is hot, their attributes decrease. If a player is cold, their attributes slightly decrease as well. This game makes no sense.

Where can you see that decrease?

Look at the player’s player card. It’ll usually be -1 or -2. Again, it just doesn’t make sense.
