Have to admit, this year I took a MAJOR step back in how much I played this game. Not really by choice....have kids they said!

I have always considered myself a pretty solid player. Year in and year out many games over .500 in ranked. Pitching has always been my strong point, but in past games I definitely provided a solid bat as well.

I CANNOT hit online in 2025. I dont know if it's because I don't play as much or what...but ranked games even on All-Star i am getting blown away by fastballs and my PCI is allllll over the place.

Is this happening with anyone else?

To top it off, I watch a ton of streamers on YouTube and when you watch them play it looks like they are going up against high school pitching, its wild to me how slow it looks. I log on, getting blown away by AL LEITER.

Is it possible it has to do with my TV and the refresh? Are specific tv's/monitors required for optimal gameplay? Should I try another hitting view other than Strike Zone?

I've already chalked up one of the reasons being maybe I just suck now, but i've been playing this game religiously for almost 10 years and I have never, ever, ever been this bad.....and i'm doing my best to not let it put a sour taste in my mouth with this game.

I'm open to any suggestions that I could change up that could help outside of "getting good".

I think streamers have monitors maybe but agree the ball looks very slow. I play on an LG oled C9 65”. I’ve had the tv for years and although I can still compete with some of the top players at times I get crushed on fastballs. And newer oled tv would likely be more of an upgrade than any monitor out right now from what I keep hearing from gamers

In my view, this is what happens when a company listens to the loudest voices, who are the obsessed folks who treat this game like it's their full time job vice a game to be played in between scarce free time. As someone who has seen both his children leave the nest and start families of their own, I chuckled when I read your statement. It rings so very true.

The problem is that in a constant effort to appease the squeaky wheels companies like SDS feel like they have a duty to toughen the game. Those who play it obsessively obviously get and remain good at it, and often they start to complain that it's "too easy."

Of course, the best solution is to make more levels of play and carefully tailor those levels so that none of them represent a drastic step up or down in difficulty. This is where I think SDS has gotten things a bit wrong. The step up is rather drastic, but those who play constantly and always like to complain, will never think it's hard enough for them.

There's a technological reason for why the streamer's videos appear to have much slower pitches when watching it from our ends. I'm unsure what it is though so I'll let someone else explain it.

It’s wild to me watching some of these games and pitches thrown. Legit hanger after hanger and it almost seems like they get the pci perfect with time to spare. Then i run a game and dudes look like they are throwing 133 mph.

Gameplay is just trash - period. Anybody who disagrees, respectfully, is getting paid off.

Gameplay, the bat to ball mechanics is broken. I did notice that some modes are worse than others. Take showdowns for instance, I need those 3 spring breakout cards to complete Bautista collection, I literally had a perfect perfect swing which came up on the timing feedback, and missed the ball. That has never happened to me on any other mode, I didn't even think it was possible. Not to mention countless foul balls on middle to inside part of the plate that were hit to the opposite field but swing timing feedback showed as swinging early. Completely unplayable mode. I kinda have given up on getting Bautista for now and now working on the USA conquest map which I am enjoying a lot.

Why isn’t every stadium available to buy now? I’ve only pulled a couple in packs at the same rare rate as pulled Ohtani and Judge. Would like to play your game more and try new stadiums grinding mini seasons. Please change this.

I don't get all the complaints.

I'm something like 36-6 in ranked, I've made world series, etc. I'm good but not great. I don't quit out games, I also only play ranked when I'm in the mood, well rested, not annoyed, etc. I only play when I have the ability to be patient.

All year I've gotten occasional perfect perfect flyout, the 9th inning routine double play to diamond ss that is inevitably an error, the bad jumps, the ball on the black that would've been a strikeout followed up by 5 foul balls and then a Homerun.

I've dealt with the random pitch speeds too.

Id rather all those things not be in the game but it doesn't seem all that prevalent. I think people lose a game because theyre mad from that stuff happening so you hear about it more than not.

I have seen ohchev, cbrev, Kyle, etc and it does seem they get alot of cookies down the middle and ball doesn't seem as fast watching them but it's prob perspective and sometimes it's just input lag. I'll have games where I'm late on everything and I feel my timing is perfect.

I started looking st the batter analysis after every game and compare my goods and perfects to my opponents. That tells me whether I played better or even if I played good or bad. Its like okay I lost a game but I played well and it makes it less annoying to me anyways

Figured it out, that showdown was pretty easy. Patience, contact swing, bunting and the right mix of perks. Easy peasy.

Broken hitting engine. You're not alone in that regard.
