New extreme missions or vouchers coming on 10/31?

Not much time left for event at this point. I did that for awhile but playing at speeds I’m not used to playing is like (as someone else at my skill level said in another thread) “punching yourself in the balls.”And I might be able to do a handful of HOF games in one turn on a conquest, but not the 10 they are requiring. Ok. That makes sense. But what are you going to play to get any "new" missions or "exchanges" completed?
-
They won't add more. That would be unfair to all of those who did it with the existing options. But I am also tired of the "just play" responses. The people who are not talented or persistent enough to do the content more than likely do not play enough hours to earn 800,000 PXP. That is a ridiculous amount, especially playing offline on lower difficulties

They added things to the TA programs to assist long after i did it the hard way, so there is precedent. @Dolenz_PSN said in New extreme missions or vouchers coming on 10/31?: But I am also tired of the "just play" responses. I'm a first year guy who has grinded a crazy amount this year, but frankly, i'm still not very good (and don't seem to be improving).
Even as a hardcore grinder, i've barely made a dent in the program through the PXP.I am fortunate to have every card in the game (aside from those in this program) and maxed out stubs, so there's absolutely no reason for me to grind my life away at end-game for a couple of cards. We've done the topic to death, but it is just a very odd move from SDS to make it this onerous at this time of year because incentive to play is already at a year long low, so this is only going to drive people away, not have them engage further (which is surely the goal). I loved this game as a first timer, but i feel they misjudged this one badly and the lack of correction has been poor.
-
@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN Glad you've made progress, man. For me, as i say this as a hardcore grinder, there's zero incentive for me to grind my life away for weeks/months for a couple of cards and i suspect there are many, many like me. We're at end game, engagement is very low and this has, in my view, only lessened engagement given how ridiculously onerous it is.
-
Yep.
I'm not even bothering with the program, but it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to make it this onerous (and tedious) for lower ranked players at a time when SDS needs everyone they can to be playing the game.

If you thing this is ridiculously onerous; you wouldn't have like it when the ONLY way to complete the Program was to do Moments, Showdown, Conquests, and Play vs CPU games, on HOF/Legend, against All-Toke teams. No repeatable XP missions.

The point is that players should be able to choose the “talented” or “persistent” route. Talented players will have it done already or in a much shorter amount of time. persistent players (i.e. less talented players like me) will take a lot longer. Some players are in-between. I think I did the extreme mini season championship on veteran or all-star at least three times in ’24 to complete the extreme program last year. And they also had lengthy missions with cards in the program. and I persisted at some of the doable moments. in ‘22 and ‘23 I did the conquest after many tries and I was proud of myself because I put myself out there to win HOF games. In ‘24 and ‘25 I skipped the conquest (last year because there were preferable options and this year because I’m giving up until they offer more progress options). Better players will not need to do the lengthy options because they can do the more difficult showdown and moments and conquest much faster than I did the mini seasons. How much and what manner of lengthy, easier progress is offered can certainly be debated, but it should not be made as impossible as it is right now. I shouldn’t have to need to play past the launch of ‘26 to finish the program, Which is basically what I would have to do the way the progress is offered now.

You say you don't want to have to play past the launch of 26 to finish this program. Yet, you wont attempt it until they offer other ways to progress. While youre "waiting for the to release more ways to progress the program" you could be playing and have a head start.

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN
The game has been out for seven months and is nearly dead. I haven’t done the calculations, but others who agree with me about this on other threads have said that the PXP needed to do 20 repeatable 40k missions is greater than what they’ve done so far in all of ’25 and since Self ball punching is not an option for me, I’ll pass on the extreme program until other options are there. Still gaining towards the repeatable in the mean time with regular play, though.
-
@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN That doesn't make this any more or less onerous.
-
Stuff will be added later on to make it easier to complete. Extreme program is still quite new. I am not even done with it and I’ve completed the diamond quest and showdown.
-
Has there ever been stuff added later for Extreme? My guess is they'll jack up PXP to 3x or even higher when we get closer to the holidays.
-
It's.
 Supposed.
 To.
 Be.
 Hard.

They really need to add something for online gamers, even if it's just an online PXP / ranked wins stat. Kind of dumb all they get is a two-week event on HoF.
-
While we are asking for things to be “fixed”, can I put in a plug to get rid of Jackie Robinson And Spring Breakout Showdowns in order to complete Collections? 🫣
-
@NotesOfJohn_MLBTS Honestly. I am surprised any 1st year players are still playing after they took an axe to CPU pitchers actually throwing strikes for some reason. If they don't do a big time correction on that, I as a long time player will probably skip future iterations of the game. They have destroyed the fun of offline play to such an extent people should be fired over it.
-
CPU pitching offline is miserably bad. You can go 2 to 3 batters with the cpu pitcher not finding the strike zone but what's worse you can have runners in scoring position or even bases juiced and your batter has a 3-0 or 3-1 count and the cpu pitcher will all of sudden start dotting strikes on the corners. Not my meaning of fun. They really need to stop all the dotting by the cpu. Needs to have more of a consistent mix.

Online earns more PxP than offline after all.
Its supposed to be hard people will say, and having enough hours in a year to get the pxp needed is indeed hard so have fun!

Don't forget when they finally hang that curve/change down the middle, you perfect-perfect it, and it's right at someone.
