Biggest Upgrades/Downgrades for the Regular Season
-
Since we are kind of in a dead zone until the start teasing Friday's content I started wondering what reports I had built already that gives season long view of things. I decided to look at the biggest upgrades and downgrades for the year.
First I had to break the report up into two, one for position players and one for pitchers because pitchers dominated the list. Next I had to fix some errors because SDS has the same exact update listed for Oct 3rd and Oct 10th The Oct 10th updates did not actually change anything hat I could see but cause my program to miscalculate the upgrades.
Here is the top 15 Upgraded cards and Downgraded cards for position players

Crazy to think that Kurtz went from a common to a Diamond

I am not sure we have ever seen that big of a jump in one season.
It's also interesting to note that based on those lists they were much more aggressive with upgrades than they were downgrades.

I mean it goes to show Tyrone Taylor is still a 78. Siri’s a 79Are you saying that they should have been downgraded more? Siri only played in 16 games and had 32 AB which is not that many. He did not appear on a single Roster update.
Taylor was bounced around a lot.
Started at 78
Downgraded to 76 on May 2nd
Upgraded to 78 on May 23
Stayed the same on June 13th.
Went back down to 76 on July the 11th
Back up to 78 on Aug 15th thanks to a +25 ACC and +7 speed. That's where he ended.

Siri had an average under 100 yet is one step away from being a gold. Yup, makes sense

He only played 10 game in March and April and did not play again until he played in 6 games in Sept. He had a total of 36 Plate Appearances.
I personally don't care what his rating is but that seems like way too small of a sample size for a significant downgrade. But as I said, he was never part of any Roster Update.

Judge jumped from a Common to a Diamong his rookie year. Cant remember how much of a jumo though.
Maybe @SaveFarris_PSN knows.

Satander lucky he didn't fall even more. Blue Jays would take that signing back in a heartbeat even if they don't admit it with the way their team is playing this year. Could use that money to sign back and pay other players.

Still, a -10 decrease in only three roster updates is pretty steep. Brendan Rogers was also -10 in only three roster updates.
Ozuna had 6 roster updates but one was actually an upgrade of +2. When you take that into account he lost 15 points in only 5 updates.

Can't remember the numbers. That was back when they had a different scale (Diamonds started at 90.)
Devin Williams is also a member of the "Common to Diamond" club.

Yeah. I want to say he was in the low 60s.
If I remember correctly; his Common card was one of the Silhouette ones.
