Extreme Program

FWIW, the Mason Miller doesn't have to be done in 9 pitches. You just need 3Ks. That's pretty simple. The Gwynn one would be easy if they didn't keep putting runners on in front of his at-bats. I keep getting stuck at 4. Also, the Diamond Quest is doable especially if you can use a bunt + speed team for a couple G.O.A.T games.

The Miller one is hard because you can only use Sliders. I beat it but it was a pain due to CPU contact 'sliders' being cranked up. I gave up quite a few broken bat grounders for outs!
I beat the Gwynn, and even tried to steal home along the way. I was desperate 🤪
I got lucky on a single where the runner on 1st went to 3rd. I fell to my knees, got up then stole 2nd, lol

Don’t they usually have missions with cards from the extreme program? I remember having to parallel Kerry wood up to five one year and getting 100 base hits with some batter another year. Can’t they put something big like a few hundred TB with Buxton or Ks with Clemens? Or something repeatable other than 40k PXP? Otherwise I’ll finish just in time for the show ’26 (or never)

Man I hate diamond quest. You do great for 2 hours, beat most challenges including the sweeper, you have 40 % chance for Kenley and 70 % chance for Santana only to get neither and feel terrible for wasting so much time for nothing.
Hope SDS will scrap it or change for next year. -
I wish they would add more reasonable ways to get these rewards in a reasonable amount of time with a reasonable amount of skill. Played for hours yesterday, DQ, conquest, moments. Finished DQ, winning a stadium challenges, sweeper got no rewards at all. Wasted half a day, made no progress towards the rewards. This program is not for me.
-
If it makes you guys feel better I started with DQ….all the moment and mini bosses are hall of fame. It I got quite a few of them played the CPU on HOF with 82% chance got 0 of the epic rewards…lol

Are ALL the goals needed to earn 30 for the program, or is it just completing the entire map for 30 toward extreme program?
-
SDS, add a mini season with vouchers, and 40k to 25k for pxp.
Tank you -
Not to sound all "back in my day," but before this drop they've really scaled back on the difficulty of Extreme the last few years since bringing it back in 2022.
This year is pretty hardcore and giving off major The Show 19/20 vibes with the Moments as well as the limited ways to make progress. At least they threw in a small bone with the 40k XP option.

When I did Extreme for the first time in 2020, you had to complete Conquest, all Moments and the Showdown. There were no XP missions. Took me weeks to finally finish.
@savefarris_MLBTS please check my facts...

So the last few years there has been a mini season and people liked it.
And now its gone.I really don't like the direction of the game at all.
-
Lacking mini seasons seems like huge loss; replacing it with the RNG from diamond quest seems like intentionally bad decision. Giving the players more options seems like a more pragmatic decision. Why not keep what they currently have, add mini seasons options, extreme player options and parallel levels?

I'm pretty sure you're right about The Show 20 because that was my first time playing Extreme as well.
You had to do the Moments, Conquest AND Showdown to complete the program. I know that because I probably attempted that Showdown like 20 times and always lost to the final boss - Nate Pearson. Most of those runs ended in heartbreaking fashion including a few choke jobs.

@The-Libero_XBL
You better pay whoever does this good money. -

This game has intentionally been less casual than past years (and when I say casual it means about mentality of approach to gaming, not how much time one has to play)
As an example, in 2023 and early 2024 the ranked track had a heavy innings played component. This year the primary component was getting a LOT of hits/offense in general. If I win a 1-0 game I get pretty much no progress because I didnt hit well.
I felt in 2023, and the first half of 2024, I was making progress just be playing the game.
I feel its important to find a way to reward the good players, but why not have one of the 2 weekend classic cards be earned just be playing 6 games to completion (or opponent quit)?They clearly want to make extreme more extreme this year. Fine, but then release the [censored] thing earlier so people have a longer time to chip away at it.
Its still more casual than the sports competition, dont get me wrong. But the regression was 100% unnecessary.

100% my experience. I fell to my knees when I finally beat it.

To be fair, in their eyes they would say that people have the next 5 months to work on it.

I'm just happy that they put Stan in the Spooky program instead of Extreme...

In all honesty Stan in the Extreme program as an unsellable card would most likely have been the last straw for me, considering that the only alternative was his 88. I probably would have walked away from the game this year.

Somehow was able to beat the Diamond Quest, had 20% odds on Kenley, 50% on Santana when I got them. Don't plan to touch that mode now unless I have to. Guess it is on to Conquest, as I'd really like that Clemens card.
