Team Affinity Card reveals for Aug 29th

Sorry for the multiple posts but I feel like Team Affinity has been so absent from the game, I’m very much looking forward to this big drop tomorrow. I love building rosters in preparation and seeing who I play well with and who o struggle with. Which teams I have the best stats with etc.
Who are we getting for the NL Central and West. We need some pitchers!!!! I hope the Fathers get Gwynn or Hoffman, I hope the Cardinals get Brock or Gibson.

While our Hall of Famers do need some love I would not be adverse to say a 99 Matt Holiday.
We never did get a good Holliday Cardinals card last year and both of his sons have better cards than he does this year, as his best is a 85 A's card. A team he did not even play a whole season for. -

I am not completely bummed about JJ Weatherholt. He is tearing it up in AAA and I have not been performing well with Moonshot Winn so it is an upgrade. But I have to wonder when, or if, they are going to upgrade the Cardinals legends (Musial, Gibson, Brock, Smith)

I bet Rangers fans are upset about Beltre being a Dodger. He was better overall as a Ranger

I am really, really missing a 99 Musial card right now. From the first time I started using him in DD, he's always been one of my favorites.

I just wish these drops were better thematically.
Charlie Condon and Willie Mays don't belong in the same drop.
They should just do a midseason pipeline refresh to get the guys like Griffin a 99 and let every team have a 99 Legend captain because its a 99.9% likelihood the only other 99 Captain will be a current player (Finest)

I agree with you.The randomness of these cards really solidifies my feeling that this wasn't originally part of their TA plan and was thrown together quickly to end our TA complaints and give us something to do over the long weekend. To throw in 99 Willie Mays and Derek Jeter in this release with 10-15 Future Star cards is crazy.

This should be an all legends drop but whatever. There are Hall of Famers who still don't have good cards this year that are deserving of one but they'd rather give the 99 to [censored] prospects.

His best two seasons were Dodgers and Red Sox, and Rangers got his hall of fame card last year.
The problem is, and this is a theme this year, the lack of mid 90s cards. There should have been a 95ish Rangers Beltre at some points if Dodgers were getting the 99

@TheBigPapa55_PSN Apparently it's MiLB the Show 25, they need to rebrand. Talk about a disappointing drop. I get prospects, but multiple rounds of prospects? We're playing this to use people who are (or have been) in the Show, not minor leaguers. We still don't have good cards for our favorites and we're heading into September.
I'm a Tigers guy, but why does McConigle have 2 cards but Henderson, Musial, Gywnn, and Brock (not even a realistic Gwynn or Brock but clown cards) only have 1.

I think you’re right on the money. I really really hope they pivot for Finest. If they just give us the cards like they do with the All Star Game and have nothing to work towards, the game is basically over at that point. It makes no sense. -

Exactly. This feels so random. I mentioned the "Action Figure" series earlier in this thread, which was almost all legends. Even the "non-legends" were guys who were late in their careers (Justin Turner, Brandon Crawford, etc.).

AL East - All of them!
AL Central - None of them!
AL West - None, but I've never even heard of Colt Emerson, so maybe he'll be good?
NL East - Albies
NL Central - Hunter Greene!, Wetherholt, never heard of Jesus of Milwaukee.
NL West - Charlie Condon is a sleeper. Great right handed swing with his Draft card.I'm just excited that TA finally has good players.

And they are random with what teams get cards. Why didnt every team get a summer card, or a new threads original series card, or a moonshot card, or a pipeline card, or...ANY NON TA SET.
I know some teams just dont have legends to support this, and I wish I could see the financials behind signing lesser legends. They got Chase Headley who had one good year and was otherwise a mediocre player, and I assume he was cheap. How much does a guy like Miguel Montero cost to help flesh out the DBacks? How about the Upton brothers?

Yeah I've been preaching this for a while now. Can't cost that much money for SDS to sign lesser known legends. Like I think many of the Legends would just be happy to be in the game and have ttheir names live on.
