Let’s be honest

@Ditka06_MLBTS The problem with people talking about good goods or close to goods or anything other than perfect perfects is that it’s subjective and unverifiable.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN yes im sure most of us know what a good, good looks like. Or an almost perfect. If the ball is almost in the center of the pci and the timing is great that's a good, good. Those inputs are not rewarding like in years past.

Personally I don’t play much online but when I do hitting is a mixed bag. I assume that’s a me thing. Sometimes I hit sometimes I don’t.
Offline though especially on lower level diffaculty the game isn’t fun anymore. Offline grinding was fun , you had to be somewhat patient and disciplined at the plate but mostly you could mindlessly grind and make progress
This year even down in the rookie ranks it seems like every at bat is a slog , and mind you I still score , I still hit and score runs but it just isn’t as fun. Non competitive pitch after non competitive pitch by the 61 common that’ll take you to 3-0 only to throw dots. Most of the time I still hit them , but the amount of time I have to throw away grinding on the easiest diffaculty is tedious.
Same goes for moments and showdowns. I don’t fail these very often , but I am a witness longer than I’m a player. This becomes especially tedious in moments and showdowns when you wait , wait , wait and then get the strike only to smash it for a loud fly out to the warning track.
I understand they need to extend content , but I would be more satisfied with higher pxp missions or stat missions rather than sucking the fun out of the experience in service of that.
Just my thoughts.

@RAisEdByGoAt_XBL I never really noticed all of these things until this year. I do not think this was part of the online play the past few years. I surely would have noticed. But its definitely here now.
LOL. I've been posting about these things for years. There is an issue with fast internet and has been for quite some time. People on here said I was an idiot. I'm extremely far from being an idiot. I am very analytical and I played the game at a very high level. I know what I see.
-
@DemIsE4_XBL so whoever has faster internet speeds is at a disadvantage? Thats wack! They need to get their own dedicated servers.
-
@Ditka06_MLBTS Played a ranked game tonight on all star and it was miserable. I said it isn't about winning. I won but the game wasn't fun. Ryan throwing 120 mph on all star. Opponent was hitting like .200 with everyone. Still managed 3 runs on 2 hits while taking 20 balls an inch off the plate. Yes, when you have high speed internet it feels like you are throwing slow pitch softball most games while trying to hit 120 mph blitz balls.
I definitely don't see me playing when BF6 comes out. I haven't even done the last 2 spotlights or the Wright program after doing everything before. My favorite player of all time (Brett) came out and don't have him or zero desire to grind for him. That's where I'm at with this game. I was planning on playing WC but not sure at this point.

I don't play enough online to have much of an opinion or suggestion other than I've tried playing DD online on four different Internets in two different residences (mostly '23 and '24) and I've never felt like it played that smoothly. Fielding and base running responses are too slow. No urgency whatsoever.
That said...maybe try a game on Online Rated and see if it's just the game entirely or the DD mode? Could DD have too many things in it? Try cleaning out the PS5 (edit or xbox)? Make sure your controller settings are set to hardwired and not bluetooth (supposedly it's not enough to just play hardwired while the system controller settings are set to Bluetooth...I don't know).
-
I have cleared the cache and rebuilt database many times. Also always play with controller wired in.
There is a massive difference in games regarding connections. Those 2 days I was seeing the actual pitch speeds, I was making 1000 rated players and WS players quit even on HOF. I was mercying opponents and was 6-0 at the 800 level with maybe 1 game going 7 innings. Other games weren't more than 3 innings. Bad connection days (which is at least 90% of games) I'm lucky to score a few runs on HOF and haven't played much HOF besides those 2 days. All star is a chore with bad connections. I have to swing when the pitcher releases the ball to maybe hit a fastball/sinker. Ball warps hand to glove instantly. 99 base stealers get thrown out because they sit there until the pitcher almost releases the ball, there is a huge delay in baserunning. Host of other things too.

@DemIsE4_XBL im completely convinced the players that are hitting 500 plus are in a better geographical location and are seeing the ball better because of better server or connections on their end. Yes some people that play this game are really good! But their connections are playing a bigger roll then people think. Like how are some people hitting 500 plus online with every batter? When half of my great inputs are line drive outs right to someone. It feels impossible for anyone to be able to hit 500 consistently.

Yea, if I had the connections I had for those 2 days all the time I could EASILY hit .400 on HOF and probably legend. I was putting up ridiculous numbers on HOF when people weren't quitting in the 1st inning. I could hit with literally anyone those days. Bad connection the best players in the game don't help. Those guys wouldn't sniff .400 or 1000 rated at my house.
I just want to see the actual pitch speeds every game, not 10% of the time. I thought the bandwidth limiter was the answer but that was very short lived. You name it, I've tried it in the last 4+ years.

@Ditka06_MLBTS
There are zero players in the world who have the skill level to play consistently and maintain a 500 batting average -
@Talkingben9558_XBL I agree! How are they doing it then? Cause im matching up with a few of them lately. Every hitter has a 500 plus average. I hit around 330 ish this year. Prior years I was closer to 400 ish. 500 is crazy!!! Especially this year.

@Ditka06_MLBTS
Because they dont play enough to get to a higher difficulty and just stop before getting to hall of fame. You cannot get to a rating that matches your skill and hit like that.
