Hey, I did not expect a Cardinals card and he is the lowest rated so I can probably get him for just doing the moments
6 Cards in a program is nice change from the 3 we have been getting
Obviously the Luis Castillo card is a mistake. Right?
Did they post it and pull it back? I don't see this on Twitter which is where they usually announce and preview cards.

Between Adames, Kurtz, and Schwarber, this has not been SDS's finest hour when it comes to duplicates.
The duplicates complaint is usually nonsense and has actively made the game worse the last couple years as they have released less cards. Only having one Rickey Henderson at this point in the season, for instance, is absurd.
In this particular case though:
Adames
-Has a recent card in the same program
-Did not win the actual player of the month
-As far as I know is not particularly popular (why did this matter in April but not now?)Better options:
Stowers, recent card but in a different program and actual player of the month.
Seager, in case they didnt want to give another OF lightning. Much more popular playerKurtz they did the right thing with. Harper was just unfortunate as he was behind the miniseason, but the MVP will always be a dupe unless they wait until after the ASG to release the cards (which is fine by me, can lead into the ASG with retro All Stars)
Really the spotlight program was just introduced to make packs last year, and the old format would have avoided the Adames/Kurtz dupes

Stan Musial's only real card is an 88. True he has 2 cards but the were in the common courtesy program so one is a 64.
I know that they need to hold back some good players for later in the year but were niether Henderson or Musial worthy of a mid 90's card of some form?
This gave me a couple of good report ideas for my App. A breakdown of cards by decade and if I can find a comprehensive source (which should not be hard) a list of all cards for players who a members of the Hall of Fame.

Reggie Sanders is one of the most egregious as I have said before. New legend, at least 6 teams he could have a card for, and just a single 85. He couldnt even make the summer program with SAND in his name. Hes not a Musial/Henderson level of player...not even close...but why pay him and not use him?
What hasn't helped is the abandonment of power creep. They were too afraid to not give 99s out by all star break because thats what theyve done before.

@Teak2112_MLBTS They are awful at managing legends and distributing cards for most teams. The Padres haven’t had a non reliever card that’s usable since launch. One of Reggie’s best years was with the Padres.

And they sign a legend with one single good year, and lock him behind the NL West collection (and thus Ohtani). But I'm sure they will give Chase a juiced 99....for the Yankees

I didn't realize "La Piedra" hit homeruns! I know the Mariners lineup has gained some power with addition of Geno and Josh, but I wasn't expecting it from a SP!

They can be pulled in any of the July Drop packs. You'll earn 5 packs (including one Guaranteed pack) in the program.

It is highly unlikely you will luck into a retro lightning. I havent bought any cards off marketboard and am 5 cards from Santana, 3 cards from Harper, 5 cards from Grich. Granted I could buy those out for fairly cheap if I wanted, but the game this year is entirely based around collections that will require to use stubs on (but only real money if you are impatient) unless you have lottery winning luck

I have 6 spotlight players that I’ve collected as they came out now the rewards are out for them I can’t get Jackson chourio or the spotlight pack

@SaveFarris_PSN The Kurtz thing can be thrown aside. They didn't know he was going to tie the MLB record for Total Bases in a game so soon after his 98 card.
