I think a more significant way to look at this would be to compare your AVG, runs per game and HR per game from this year to last year. HR definitely seem to be down which to me is a good thing. Looking at mine, my average and runs per game are up while HR are down. I tried looking at some of the people complaining and it doesn’t appear like they played online last year, so I’m not sure how they would even notice a difference. I also compared one of the top players/streamers and his were down across the board. They definitely nerfed elevation online. We know that. The slow power creep might be part of it. Using 99’s basically all year last year with captains likely played a role in the difference people are feeling. Maybe they did something to exit velos. We don’t know. Again, I just don’t think it’s nearly as significant as people are making it seem.

On this thread you have said game logs are not recording perfect perfects accurately, then you said they are, and now you are saying they are not again. I also was not talking to you about the screenshot, since you had nothing to do with the original debate -
@Talkingben9558_XBL I don’t recall mentioning perfect perfects aren’t reordered correctly I was talking about the logs in general. So many people refer to them when they are not in fact correct. A lot of things are not correct in the game. Check swings are not called correctly and yes I understand the actual input is what matters not the actual swing through but also pitches aren’t called correctly. With a game that has a host of problems it doesn’t surprise me the after game logs are incorrect and they are. I’ve seen it I’ve looked for it and now I’m always looking at them and taking note.

) … But do not forget Shield Woods (as THE main example of a HR ballpark last year, everybody played there) being gone and yes, they also nerfed elevation (laughing mountain e.g.), SDS has called that out on stream … This is a HUGE factor why HR and scoring is lower than last year … as for the top streamers: They also played Goat for at least half of the season, that is a special factor for the big guys -
Guys all im saying is everyone is noticing a difference. And to say the least we all agree hitting is not as rewarding this year as in years past. But thats an issue. Because its a video game and good input should be rewarded more. Key word MORE... Not all the time maybe not even most of the time. But more than it has been this year. This is spawnofditka btw. I had to sign in with the show to be able to respond for some reason. Whether the op was exaggerating or not. Is what it is. Id like to get this conversation on the right track and get some agreements and push sds to make hitting more rewarding in coming months or years. We can not change this problem if we do not come together. And from reading all the comments we all seem to agree on this! So let's make a push.

This is what you said earlier. If you can find an example of the game logs being incorrect, post it here. Although strikes are not called correctly (and i think they should be) that is the way they are coded in the game, its not a mistake, same with check swings.

@Talkingben9558_XBL ok. Next time you play an opponent who “dinks” a lot of late and early hits just check your logs man and you will see what I am talking about. I’m surprised it isn’t talked about more on here

@Talkingben9558_XBL I think it varies… when I played an opponent the other day for instance who hit almost everything early and late dinks just barely off the bat the logs didn’t show any weak contact or many early or late contact.
What the guy was doing was impressive. He had an absolute ton of dinks that were super soft contact landing in gaps. The logs didn’t display any of this after the game correctly. I don’t recall if they fell into the “good contact” category or which category but hits like that are certainly not good contact -

I dont really care about what mlb the show labels as "good" contact because it varies wildly. It might have been good contact because your opponent had good timing, but idk. -

Nobody is saying that. I dont want hr derby either. But we also did not want to feel completely unrewarded also for good hitting inputs. Ask yourself is hitting much harder this year? Does it feel a lot less rewarding than years prior? The answer is yes. Does it mean its completely broken.. no. Not saying that either. I definitely do not want to play on hof anymore that's for sure. Why do you think alot of players are losing on purpose to get back to all star this year?

@Ditka06_MLBTS Well, I’m batting 80 points higher online this year and scoring more runs, so my answer is no. Are HR down? Yes, but to me that’s a good thing.

@GoozeFn_PSN ok good for you. Maybe you are in an area with better server connections within the show. But you are not the majority on this post and from what im seeing for myself and hearing. This explains why you are debating everyone and your complete utter bias about the hitting situation this year with anyone who mentions it. So now no one should take you seriously. Just think about how much better you will do if it gets fixed. Stop coming on here and gas lighting everyone who is having issues with the game play. You just showed your hand.
