I started the game yesterday and have Byron button and James wood hr derby cards is it realistic for me to be able to get the cal Raleigh card (4k studs not willing to spend money on the game)

Yes, easily. Just grind through the draft conquest map a few more times.

You’d sell the cards you get to fund cal, but if you look at the programs page, you should be able to grind out a ton of other missions while doing the draft map so you will get even more stubs/packs. Make sure you do the draft, ASG, and HRD programs.
