Team Affinity All Star 2025

We know if we have the vouchers it will unlock the all Star for that team. Do you think that is all Team Affinity will be this time around? For instance, if I have all 30 vouchers and unlock all 30 All Stars, will I already have Team Affinity completed for the All Stars section?
I really hope this isn’t the case. While it is cool to have the cards unlocked already, my favorite aspect of the game is building a squad for Team Affinity and working through the program path. This is historically a great place for packs and stubs and since this year is light on that, it would be a huge L not to have the Team Affinity program Paths.
Also, who are your predictions for each team? We know about Jacob Wilson for the A’s, Elly for the Reds, Skenes for the Pirates and Vlad Jr for the Blue Jays.

Like, I’m definitely not complaining about having the cards unlocked. But I love content to work on. And I think we all like rewards. I hope they either add missions and rewards to the my journey path or a whole new path like the did with color storm. -
I hope not. So many teams do not even have a hitting and pitching captain yet and we are at the all star break.
If by chance this new card is considered a captain (which I doubt) then many teams still won't have a hitting and pitching captain.

Cubs have Boyd but could use PCA/Tucker
Nats have Gore but could use Wood
Phillies have Wheeler but could use ScharberThe one's we know for sure will get their 2nd.
Giants have Ray/Rodriguez/Webb
White Sox have Smith
Blue Jays have Kirk/Vlad -
I am hoping the card is unlocked as the first step in the path. And we get rewards for using them, as we go further down the path.

I appreciate that they tried something new this year but I definitely preferred the pre-2024 way of the 5 big TA drops. That was always a great medium term goal with multiple ways to progress. Showdown, Conquest, Mini season, exchange, henchmen pxp, grinding repeatable missions, etc
I know some people didn't like how grindy it could be, particularly when it started to feel mandatory for collections.
On paper I like the concept of team affinity being about teams instead of divisions, but this current model needs a lot of change for next year if they want to give it a second iteration.
And I will be shocked if Diaz isnt the Mets all star card

@Dolenz_PSN If a third Team Affinity drops and we still don’t have a hitting and pitching captain for each team, why are we even doing captains anymore. They’ve completely failed captains this year. What a joke.

I was curious about that. The captains we have now (Jolt and Color Storm) are limited to boosting cards 95 and below. I'm guessing most of the All-Star cards will be in the range of 96-98.

When those cards were released, there were no 96+ cards (outside of Beltran, Clemens, Hodges).

Are they even doing the captains from last year that focused on a certain theme instead of just a regular theme team?
That was my favorite part of '24 so go figure. It looks like they got rid of it.

I still don't really understand this complaint. Aren't the teams with only hitter captains compensated by having a stronger captain? And by also having a choice of which captain to run?
I do think captains in general suck this year, and there should be captains for each series. But the TA captains are way better this year than 2024. 2023's alternating was best, but since they cut the amount of TA cards in general this year captains suffer I guess.

Yes, that is how it is supposed to work. Jim Edmonds boosts should be bigger than a captain for a team that has both a hitting and pitching captain.

I disagree about lineup diversity. I got so tired of seeing cornerstone teams (and it was usually only 1 or 2 per season), or even worse, Santana teams.

True - I was just wondering what SDS's plan is now that 96 and up cards are entering the mix in bulk.

@Teak2112_MLBTS There was definitely more lineup diversity last year. No one is even using captains this year.

@Teak2112_MLBTS 2021 was a lot of fun. You build a divisional team and used them to get progress and each division had a solid henchman and a boss. By this drop we got a few end game cards Trea Turner and Jacob DeGrom come to mind. My favorite thing in this game is creating a squad and building stats
