How to modify team strategy

I can't seem to find where to modify how I'd prefer the game to be managed during Sim times. The Sim manager keeps swapping out my best hitters for pinch runners in early innings and not taking lefty/righty splits inti account for reliever choices, leading to issues when I jump in for the bigger moments. How can I modify this? Thanks!

The start of each game should provide you a menu up front before the game starts, where you get to choose how the game will play out. If you wish to make the managerial decisions, then you need to make that selection. However, if you choose to simulate the game or choose to play it out using Player Lock, then you won't be able to make the managerial decisions during the game. Once selected and the game starts, you cannot change the selection.
