I've been patient for the past 7-8 years, but it's time to fix this logo [censored] NOW.

Kind of ironic to use censored words when bringing up a problem with offensive logos.

@Dolenz_PSN The server handling exceptions, yadda yadda aren't helping either. I know there is a crew that has to manually go through all of these and delete them. If you take 10 minutes a day to report them, the more that do that, the faster they go down.

I'm not threatening SDS; I simply saying that it's time to stop screwing around and get it done.

Then, we can move onto the goal of allowing us to keep our created players into the next year.

@PriorFir4383355_XBL I will always give credit where it's due, and they're supposedly not a big studio, but the quality of the releases post 2020 has plummeted. There have been excellent improvements each year, but professional reviews continue to drop, and over the last 2-3 years, user reviews went from glowing to abysmal.

That would be enough to light a fire under my [censored], that's for sure!

Joe K may be a middle man, so I'm not going to kill the messenger, but I want to encourage, kindly, but firmly.

I've never been incredibly fond of Playstation, but I've bought their consoles, including the current one, to play MLB The Show, every year. I usually buy a copy for both XBOX and PS5, to study differences in performance. The PS4 version still ran the best, up until it was cancelled. Sounds of the Show was still there, paging through teams didn't drag like it does on modern platforms. The visual enhancements and the Stadium creator are on the newer machines, but the core of the game's performance is not as good as it was on PS4.

They know this, and maybe they expect for many to not notice. Having worked for a game company on a very buggy game, doing Quality Assurance, I know I can help them. They have to show me that they'd liked to be helped, first, however.

@theBlindRhino_NSW Oh Lord; let's not even go there! The constant "ZYN" ads are obnoxious, and advertising drugs is a no-no too. I swear, those logos probably take up 50% of the Vault, as is now! 😑

As a parent myself, I completely relate with where you're coming from on this, @Zachtronics, and I'm clearly not the only one.

Having just had a conversation with the team about this a few days ago, I can tell that they do the best they can to remove as many of these as they can. Since the volume can make that difficult, it's easy to look at what's there and believe that nothing is being done. Rest assured, that's not the case.

I'll keep this dialog open with them and with you all and advocate for any improvements that might be possible.

I really think the team needs to look at the vault mechanics in general. Why, if I download a stadium or logo from the vault and make no changes to it do I need to upload it to the vault myself before I can use it? That is why there are hundreds, if not thousands of duplicate Costco fields and hundreds of "Knockers" team logos.

You should only be forced to upload again if you have used the editor on them and made a change. That would so drastically cut down the volume that would need to be policed each day.

@Dolenz_PSN never understood that either; and makes it tougher to give credit to the right person

But at the same time it makes it easier to find when you upload yearly before the next edition

@Dolenz_PSN I have a long list of the issues. First, they need to create an algorithmic, visual filter. If they can fix the server handling exception errors in the meantime, awesome.

And also in the meantime, I'm effing tired of all the minors that see this [censored] and then repost it a dozen times.

@SDS_JoeK_PSN I truly believe that you get it, and that you want them to rectify this too. I want the players to carry over, but the Logo Vault has to be cleaned up first, the server handling exception errors in that same process. It would create a LOT less tedium for the staff.

I've spoken to several people via the feedback system, over the past few years. They are trying, and there's one in particular who is EXTREMELY diligent.

We have an incredibly complex and beautiful game that captures the sport better than most of us could ever think to design. Every day, I find something new that almost blows my mind; the attention to detail is incredible, and that means starting over and making a new game from scratch is [censored] nearly impossible!

Thanks for helping me to focus fire on this! One thing at a time. I hope you have a killer weekend, Joe!

I just got online... guess what popular dirty logos are back in action!? It's oddly funnily embarrassing at this point! I'm glad the kids didn't see it.

    @SDS_JoeK_PSN

Every person who puts anything on the vault has a console. Either manufactured by Microsoft (XBox) or Sony (Playstation). All of these consoles have hard coded identification numbers. You work for a company owned by Sony.

This concept has been provided years ago. Track down all the people who put these vulgar images in the vault. Determine their console serial numbers or their network device ID, and issue a lifetime ban, using either of these available identification numbers. Those consoles would no longer have access to the MLB The Show vault in any form or manner. In fact, call those actions to put vulgar images in the vault what it is, gross violations of what's called terms of use.

And by that willful violation, ban those consoles from online games in all forms.

I guarantee you that soon as that's done, this nonsense will stop cold turkey. It won't be hard to do either. The people posting these vulgar images are not going to be able to purchase new consoles each time they are banned. So, these actions will stop.

But, then again, it wouldn't have been hard to extend the code in Stadium Creator that bars online use of customer stadiums that had their outfield wall panels moved, and extend that code to apply to ALL wall panels. Then, extend the default wall templates in SC to include all the wall panels, not merely the outfield wall panels.

Let's see now ... who issued that suggestion in writing six weeks ago to you? Oh, yeah! That was me, and other veteran stadium designers, who explained the path ahead to prevent online cheating, which none of us want to see happen, but also improve the function of SC and increase customer happiness.

But, to have done that, you would have needed to work for a company that actually cares about quality of customer service, vice one who pays large sums of money for public relations gimmicks and then fumbles the gift of better customer service when it's put on a silver platter for you all!

And you actually wonder why honest customers are just totally PO'd at a level not before seen?
