Weekend Classic Rewards are a joke

I said the same thing. I dont have a doubt in my skill. However my highest pitcher is Pedro. Second highest is Dustin may. I work and have children. I refuse to sit and grind and work the marketplace. So I got a bare minimum team. While my opponents have 99s like wtf. Its not worth the headache.

@ckernan78_XBL exactly. I lucked my way in to WS I am a legit 600 level player…and I’m in Gold 2 and facing the most ridiculous players ever. I HATE the concept of weekend Classic
You would have played 800 guys too, if there wasn‘t a weekend-classic (ok, at least 1 game) … I face the same skill level starting at 700-899, so what is the real difference? You play on HOF starting 700

Just finished my 6 weekend classic games in Gold II, a division you have to make the HIGHEST level of ranked seasons to be in, and managed to go 6-0. My reward for being PERFECT??? A chase pack with a LS Yordan Alvarez and 4 "LS 85+" packs with Hunter Brown, Hunter Greene, Yamamoto, and Steven Kwan.
So for going 6-0 in one of the highest weekend classic divisions, I got 5 Live Series cards all rated 86 OVR or lower.
I'd literally rather get ONE 88+ pack for going 6-0 than get 4 85+ packs that only had a 1:16 chance of being 88 or higher.
What an absolute joke SDS
First: Gold II is not the highest level of ranked season. It is 800-899. You still have legend and GOAT, which is the highest… and you got 2 weekend-classic-packs (worth 50K prox) … and stubs. I am in Gold II too, I liked my rewards and I am looking forward to my pack opening

@Rhyno1986_XBL Facts. The rewards being incrementally lowered is B.S.
I love the concept, but if you get 5 or 6 WC wins at World Series level divisions, they need to chill with the RNG based rewards imo.

@YOSHI24_XBL I misspoke, I am gold one, had played only 2 games in ranked over 700 before the Weekend classic, and was at 720. I faced 4 guys out of 6 with World Series badges. I won the 2 with guys ranked similarly to me. Instant opponent found games so it wasn't like I was waiting and just happened to get matched up with guys well above my skill level. Definitely more of a casual player, and prefer to play on HOF difficulty, hate all star, but I suppose I should shoot for silver 2 next time, where I went 5-1 last Weekend classic, and only faced one WS badge.

ok, I still do not get it … You said „Highest level of ranked“, which is still not true. You then just reached Hall-of-Fame, when you got to 700+ … and you like Hall-of-Fame …
If you shoot for silver, you play All-Star.
And now back to your initial post. What was the problem again with the rewards?
Regarding the ws badges. Yes, they have it, but they are not far away from where you are at. That could mean that they made ws in the first iteration and just never since. But they are beatable for Hall-of-Fame-players (Trust me, I have the badge

I went 5-1 and pulled nothing of value.
The "then dont play" lol. Yeah let's just keep playing the same game over & over each year. Id play a different game if another company made a baseball game.
Maybe mlb the show would be a better game if players like you played other game.
